Our time is then DIVIDED between the cares of the world and the cares of the Kingdom! Which do you want to serve? We must judge ourselves carefully on this! Do your cigarettes, marriage (1st Corinthians 7:29-34), gym membership, tasty foods, entertainment, nice car, long hours at work, boat, camper, nice clothes, hobbies, nice home, vacations, higher education (in the world), and so forth... well... do these come at the expense of feeding the poor or doing other work in the Kingdom (Isaiah 58:6-12)? We must judge ourselves carefully on these things! 1st Peter 4:17 (KJV) - “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the House of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the Gospel of God?” James 5:1-6 (NIV) - “Now listen, you rich people [often citizens of Westernized “Christan” nations or Islamic “Oil” nations], weep and wail because of the misery that is coming upon you. (2) Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. (3) Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the Last Days. (4) Look! The wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. (5) You HAVE LIVES ON THE EARTH IN LUXURY AND SELF-INDULGENCE [see Romans 13:4]! You have fattened yourselves in the Day of Slaughter. (6) You have condemned and murdered innocent men [Christian saints], who were not opposing you.” We MUST judge ourselves carefully!
