Yianni, a strong supporter and leader for the Golden Eagles, sat out the 2008-2009 season and began his Golden Eagle career during the 2009 fall tournament schedule where he had impressive results in doubles. Yianni was unable to play the 2010 spring season due to an ankle injury but is looking to seal a consistent spot in the lineup this spring. Yianni won the prestigious Johnny Donnelly Maverick Award as a redshirt freshman, a testament to his leadership qualities and contributions to the team...an ultimate team player, he has continued to support the team from the sidelines during every match and worked as hard as anybody during practices.
AT TECH -- IN FALL 2010 (SOPHOMORE ON THE COURT) Yianni is still anticipating his first
match for Tennessee Tech during the 201011 campaign after he sat out his fall season because of an ankle surgery. He is expected to be back on the court this spring.
