At Tech In 2009-10 (Sophomore): Alex posted a 5-6 record in singles play during the fall and went 3-4 in doubles...won four singles matches in a row mid-season, including his lone contest against an OVC foe, downing Morehead State’s Greg Anderson in straight sets. In 2008-09 (Freshman): Alex split his time between the No. 2 and No. 3 spot in the singles lineup...posted a 9-9 overall record...earned wins against two ranked teams, including a 6-2, 6-2 straight set victory over 50th ranked Patrick Bateman of West Florida...was 5-3 during the season against OVC foes...was 5-9 overall in doubles play for a combined mark of 14-18 for his rookie season.
