In 2012 (R-Freshman): Christian played in 23 games and started in three for the Golden Eagles... at 16 at bats she managed to score six runs and make three hits for a batting average of .188 and a slugging percentage of .188... also had four RBIs and three total bases giving her the fourth highest on base percentage for the team at .350... named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll list for the 2012 spring semester (May 16). In 2011 (Freshman): Christian red-shirted her freshman year. High School: A standout player at shortstop and in the outfield, Christian earned four letters at Collierville High School under coach Mike Bradley...was named the team’s Most Improved Player in 2009 and received the Golden Glove award in 2010 with a .987 fielding percentage in 209 innings in the outfield...as the lead-off hitter, Christian hit for a .427 average recording 41 singles, six doubles, four triples and two home runs in 2010...also stole 22 bases in 22 attempts...helped her team to four district championships, two regional championships, two substate championships and two state finals appearances...earned the Silver Key for the National Scholastics art competition in 2009 and was the visual arts reflections winner all four years at Collierville. Personal: Christian is the daughter of Grant and Melissa Gibbs...full name is Christian Rebecca Gibbs...born on October 17, 1991...majoring in art education.
