HIGH SCHOOL: Had a stellar career as a defensive lineman at Riverdale High School...as a senior, he was the Class 5A Mr. Football Lineman Award winner and also earned first-team 5A All-State and All-Midstate honors...two-time first-team all-region and all-city selection, he was named to the Tennessean’s Dream Team in 2007, and represented Riverdale High School in the Tennessee Athletic Coaches’ Association
