Lamar MOORE u Defensive Line u 6-0 / 290 u Junior u Nashville, Tenn. u East Literature High School Came to the Golden Eagles in 2009 and spent his first season as a redshirt freshman...worked hard to improve his skills...played some in a reserve role as a freshman...has placed on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll all six semesters at TTU. AT TECH (In 2011): Moore saw action in all 11 games...lined up on the Golden Eagle d-line...amassed 21 tackles on the season, five solo stops and 1.5 tackles-for-loss for 11 yards...best effort came against Murray on Nov. 5 with five tackles (two unassisted) and one solo stop for a loss of 10 yards. Also forced one fumble that game...Logged a quarterback hurry at EIU on Sept. 17 and a pass breakup on Nov. 19 in Tech’s title game against APSU. AT TECH (In 2010): Lamar’s hard work in the off-season helped him to work his way onto the field...saw action in three games including Tech’s contest against eventual Rose Bowl champion TCU...made a tackle against Lane College and one tackle in the season-ending win over Jacksonville State. James NORMAND u Offensive Line u 6-2 / 285 u Junior u Oak Ridge, Tenn. u Oak Ridge High School A standout offensive lineman during his high school career, James opened his college career showing potential to be equally successful for the Golden Eagles...played most of his campaign season in a backup role but finished up as the starter at left tackle, earning the starts against Eastern Kentucky and Jacksonville State...expected to continue in a starting role for Tech in 2012...strong player with outstanding knowledge of his position...good techniques...proved to be especially capable in Tech’s speeded-up offense against Jacksonville State in 2010...great work ethic, both on the field and in the classroom...named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for all four semesters and landed on the OVC Commissioner’s Adademic Honor Roll in 2010. AT TECH (In 2011): One of 12 Golden Eagles to start all 11 games, giving him a streak of 13 consecutive starts headed into the 2012 fall season... proved valuable in Tech’s up-tempo, no huddle offense...displays silent leadership on the field. HIGH SCHOOL: Named All-State as a lineman, James Normand also earned a spot on the National Guard Academic All-State team during his outstanding four-year career at Oak Ridge (Tenn.) High School...the first lineman to letter all four years at his high school, Normand was an effective offensive lineman, not allowing a single quarterback sack his final two seasons while splitting his playing time between center and tackle...
