u Long Snapper u 6-2 / 220 u Junior u Hortonville, Wis. u Hortonville High School Ben came to Tech a year ago hoping to find a spot on the squad, and heads into the 2013 season as a solid challenger for the long snapper role as a junior...played two seasons at Minnesota State-Crookston before heading to Cookeville. AT TECH (In 2012): Ben joined the team early in the 2012 season after an on-campus walk-on tryout...watched the first few Golden Eagle games from the stands awaiting for the tryout...impressed the staff enough to earn a spot on the roster but did not appear in any games. BEFORE TECH: Played two seasons as a long snapper at Minnesota State-Crookston...one of his two head coaches was former Golden Eagle lineman Andrew Higgins. PERSONAL: The son of David and Kelly Viaene...(pronounced veeen)...full name is Benjamin David Viaene...born March 30, 1992, in Appleton, Wis....father played in the NFL with the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers...majoring in agriculture engineering.

u Defensive Back u 6-2 / 195 u Sophomore u Forest Park, Ohio u Winton Woods High School With two seasons of experience on the field to draw from, Cory is now considered a veteran and ready to play a larger role in the success of the Golden Eagle defense...an opportunistic player, he puts himself in the right spot to make a difference...has increased his strength with his work in the Athletic Performance Center. AT TECH (In 2012): Cory was on the field in all 11 contests as a sophomore, playing in the secondary and also on special teams...finished the year with 15 total tackles, including eight solo stops...after getting one tackle in each of the first four games, he made four tackles against Southeast Missouri and Murray State for his season-high...recovered two fumbles at SEMO. (In 2011): Saw action in nine games as a true freshman...totaled 35 tackles on the season, 14 of them unassisted...had one quarterback sack for a loss of 10 yards at EKU...recorded eight tackles in back-toback outings against Murray State and Eastern Kentucky in November contests. BEFORE TECH: Cory was the Defensive Player of the Year at Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati, setting the school record with 14 career interceptions...team captain as a senior, he was chosen first-team all-conference, first-team all-city, first-team All-Southwest Ohio, and first-team Ohio All-State. PERSONAL: The son of Curtis Webber and Stephanie Brandt...birthdate is January 8, 1993...full name is Courtney Lowe Webber...enrolled in general curriculum.
