OUTFIELDER

AUSTIN WULF SENIOR • 5-10 • 172 • L/R BEAVER FALLS, PENN. • BLACKHAWK HS 2012 (JUNIOR): Wulf proved to be a great lead-off hitter, starting all 53 games in the outfield… maintained a .314 batting average for the season, driving in 25 runs… crossed the plate 37 times, earned 21 walks, hit four home runs, and drilled three triples… was hit-by-a-pitch 21 times, ranking first on the team and first in the OVC… started off the season with a bang, going 23-for-43 while stringing together a 14game hitting streak… had 19 multi-hit games, recording three or more hits in seven of them… against Central Michigan, went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs scored, one home run, one walk, and two stolen bases… in the three game series against Dayton, went 7-for-11, driving in three runs, scoring four runs, mashing one home run, earning two walks, and getting hit-by-a-pitch twice… hit .500, going 8-16 in the Texas Tech Tournament while earning all-tournament honors. 2011 (SOPHOMORE): Wulf was one of Tech’s mainstays in the outfield, starting all 54 games… batted .284 as TTU’s primary lead-off hitter, finishing second on the team in runs scored with 41 while driving in 21 runs himself… recorded eight stolen bases in 11 attempts and maintained a .990 fielding percentage… had 16 multi-hit games, including a trio of three-hit games. 2010 (FRESHMAN): Wulf started 35 of 47 games as Tech’s primary left fielder… maintained a .340 batting average on the year, going 53-for-156 at the plate, including eight doubles, two triples and two long balls… earned 14 walks and stole four bases on the season… peaked at the end of the season, recording hits in 12 of his last 14 games in the lead-off position and raising his batting average from .309 to .340. HIGH SCHOOL: Wulf was a Louisville Slugger High School All-American and a two-time first-team all-section and first-team all-state selection at Blackhawk High School… also named P6 West and Beaver County Times all-star… hit .508 his senior season with 29 RBI, 32 runs scored, 11 stolen bases, nine doubles, and two triples… in his junior season, hit .533 (40-for-75) with 40 hits, including 14 doubles, two triples and two home runs… had 23 RBI, scored 33 runs and stole 10 bases while leading his team to a section championship and final four appearance his junior year… helped his team to a league runner-up finish during his freshman and sophomore campaigns… played for coach Bob Amalia… earned three letters in football, playing wide receiver and strong safety for coach Joe Hamilton… named to the academic Tennessee Tech Baseball honor roll.
