MICHAEL MORRIS SENIOR • 5-10 • 191 • L/R CINCINNATI, OHIO • SYCAMORE HS 2012 (JUNIOR): Morris started 47 games while appearing in 49… put together his best year yet offensively, batting .328 with 29 RBI, a team leading 15 doubles, three home runs, and 22 walks… put together a pair of long hitting streaks of 11 and eight games… bumped his batting average 55 points with the 11-game hitting streak and by 53 points during the eight-game streak… against Kentucky, went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, and an RBI… in games two and three against Morehead State, batted 7-for-10 with five RBI and four doubles… blasted a walk-off, two-run dinger against Belmont… gathered hits in 37 games with 18 multi-hit contests. 2011 (SOPHOMORE): Morris made 16 starts, primarily at second base in 29 games played… batted .288 on the season while notching 21 hits, including a double and a home run… drove in three runs against Morehead State… tallied at least two hits in seven games. 2010 (FRESHMAN): Morris started five games for Tech, making 16 appearances for the Golden Eagles… in 23 at-bats, logged four RBI on five hits, including two doubles… earned four walks while recording an overall average of .217 at the plate on the season. HIGH SCHOOL: Morris earned three varsity letters in baseball, playing shortstop and catcher for coach Chris Shrimpton at Sycamore High School… finished his career with 122 hits while batting .467 as a senior, .425 as a junior, and .356 as a sophomore… named All-Cincinnati his senior season… also earned high academic honors on three occasions… rated as a top-50 prospect in the state of Ohio by Rise Magazine. PERSONAL: Michael Thomas Morris is the son of Thomas and Lori Morris. He was born May 30, 1991. Morris is majoring in interdisciplinary studies (LIST).
