FALLSPORTS FOO TBA LL ( 11- 2, 7- 1 M WC) • Closed season ranked seventh by the Associated Press and USA Today, marking the program’s highest appearance in a seasonending poll since 1959. It was the highest-ever finish in the polls by a two-loss team from a BCS non-automatic qualifying conference. • Won at least 10 games for the fifth time in the last seven years, including four 11-win campaigns in the past six seasons. • Reached 10th bowl game in last 11 seasons (one of 18 programs nationally to appear in 10 bowls in the last 11 years). TCU’s four straight bowl wins is a program first. The Frogs are one of seven teams to have a current bowl winning streak of at least four in a row. • Posted a 41-10 record over the last four seasons, making the 2008 seniors the all-time winningest class in TCU history. It’s the most victories ever in a four-year stretch at TCU.

Steven Coleman Stephen Hodge

• Led the nation in total defense (217.8 yards per game) for the third time in nine seasons. The team was first in rush defense (47.1 yards), allowed the fewest first downs per game (12.1) and led the nation in time of possession (35:10). TCU was second in scoring defense (11.3 points per game) and sacks (43). • Defensive end Jerry Hughes led the nation in sacks (15) and forced fumbles (six) as he became TCU’s first consensus All-American since placekicker Nick Browne in 2003. Hughes was also a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Ted Hendricks Award. • Set single-season school records for points scored (437) and touchdowns (56). • Led the Mountain West with a school-record 18 players receiving all-conference honors.

VOL L EY BAL L (20- 12, 9- 7 MWC ) • Posted a program-best 9-7 record and fourth-place finish in Mountain West Conference play for the second consecutive year. • Recorded second-straight 20-win season, the fourth time the program reached that plateau. It was the Frogs’ third consecutive winning season under Coach Prentice Lewis and fifth winning season in the last six years. • Played the program’s first-ever televised match at home in front of a school-record 1,036 fans. • Raced out to a 9-0 record with wins over Louisiana Tech, UMKC, Belmont, Texas Southern, Prairie View A&M, UT Pan American, UT Arlington, Texas Tech and New Orleans. • Won 10 of 12 home matches, establishing a program record for fewest home losses in a season. • Knocked off the highest-ranked foe in program history with a 3-1 win over No. 13 Colorado State in the final home match of the season. • Placed Nirelle Hampton and Christy Hudson on the all-conference list. • Hampton leaves the program as the all-time leader in matches (131), games played (480), assists (4,982) and service aces (162). • Megan Munce tallied a conference-record 12 aces in a 3-0 victory over Air Force.
