Tauranga Girls’ College offers a school bus system within the Tauranga Transport Network Group. Primarily this service focuses on providing a school bus service to students coming from our contributing schools who are eligible for Ministry of Education funded transport. All details including route finder, policies, FAQs and approximate pick up and drop off times are available from the website www.schooltransport.org.nz The Ministry of Education no longer funds buses in suburban areas where Bayhoppers operate. A new service called Schoolhoppers will begin in February 2015 and the routes for Tauranga Girls' College are listed overleaf. There are four possible options for Te Puke and Papamoa and Mount Maunganui families: 1. A private Bayline service (Bus 51) similar to the one for Tauranga Intermediate School 2. A private Bethlehem Coachlines service operating for Papamoa and Mt Maunganui families 3. The Bay Hopper public bus system www.baybus.co.nz route 36 in particular 4. Private arrangements including car-pooling All buses for the school will be using the Bus Bay in 22nd Avenue.
