Welcome
We would like to start by thanking our past customers and everyone who has put their trust into our breedingwelcome program in the past, and welcome new friends and customers that we are continually meeting during livestock events. Without all of you it wouldn’t be possible to do what we love, and to love what we do! We continue to spare no expense when it comes to sourcing females, new herd bulls, or semen on top end bulls. We firmly believe in going out and finding, and acquiring the best we can find. In the last few months we have some very exciting additions in both the Angus and Simmental herds. An Angus bull OAV Motown 11B was purchased for his moderate frame, easy fleshing ability, calving ease, and for the strength of his cow family. A bull who had a successful show career at side of his dam, and again as a yearling, and this last fall being named reserve senior Angus bull at Farm Fair in Edmonton. The second addition is Pedersen Confidence 39C a bull like no other, with his performance, eye appeal, and easy fleshing ability, we believe he will be the future cornerstone herd bull of our Angus program. In the Simmental we purchased a semen package on the all-time Canadian high selling Simmental bull Wheatland Kill Switch 598C. As well this fall we purchased and imported a Red bull from the top end of the great Silver Towne herd in Indiana. He is only 11 months old now and shows so much muscle shape, fleshing ability, and soundness. We anxiously await to breed with him this spring. With the new bulls coming in next year you will have the opportunity to purchase fresh exciting genetics. Once again this year we will be selling the majority of the Angus bulls in Lloydminster at the Pride of The Prairies bull sale on March 5 & 6. We know that not everyone can make it to the bull sale so a couple high quality Angus bulls have been held back to sell off the farm. The Simmentals will all sell off the farm, and I believe this is our strongest Simmental offering to date with sons of AI bulls such as Cowboy Cut, Red Rocket, Wallbanger, and our walking herd sire WLB 388B. Apryl & I need to thank our entire family, as raising purebred livestock can never be a one or two person job. It takes a supportive, helpful, family unit to get the job done. In the last year we have seen our daughter Ella become very involved with the cattle at just the age of 4. From helping me deliver bulls to helping me halter break, to getting her own prospect heifer ready and showing it as Champion Prospect Heifer and selling it at our Edam Fall Fair. It is very rewarding to see our daughter have such an interest in something that means so much to our whole family.

Our Simmental bulls though few in numbers are high in quality. We have low birthweight, calving ease bulls as well as performance bulls. Half the pen is the first calf crop off our walking herd bull WLB 388B. A bull we purchased for his length of body, stoutness of hip, hair, bone, and performance. His daughters are moderate and easy fleshing and his bulls are rugged, and hairy with lots of eye appeal. Every year we try to AI a few females to introduce new bloodlines. This year we have a red calving ease bull by Red Rocket, this bull’s full sister an embryo calf was our consignment to the Checkers sale in Ponoka selling to Percyview Farms. Our performance bull of the pen is a real neat Wallbanger son, who offers unmatched depth of rib and performance. The last AI sired calf is a CCR Cowboy Cut son who is a calving ease bull that could be used on heifers.
