• 28 total adult group homes, 43 apartment programs, 6 day programs • Currently supporting a total of 3,000 individuals on Long Island • The Alan and Ellen Spiegel Children’s Center, providing an opportunity for ACLD to expand its children’s services • The Charles Evans Health Services Center a State-of-theart facility, providing comprehensive health services for individuals with developmental disabilities • Magnolia Manor, a 24-hour nursing residence, housing eight medically complex individuals • Kramer Learning Center • After-School Programs
An Urgent Need We are already experiencing the effects from a reduction in state reimbursement this year. At this rate, we anticipate that long-term programs, staffing and resources will be negatively impacted. And it could happen sooner rather than later. Over time, we fear it could result in the loss of critical programs for the children currently under our care and detrimental setbacks in programs for our adult individuals.
There Is an Answer We are committed to providing equal services for all individuals, but funds may not permit us to continue them all for very long.
