Exhibit Space Care Each exhibitor must keep spaces clean and exhibits staffed and in good order. All exhibits must be ready for display by 10a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024.
Unoccupied Space
If the exhibitor fails to occupy space contracted for by Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 10a.m. or fails to comply in any other respect with the terms of this agreement, The Daily Independent & The Swap Sheet shall have the right to use such space in any manner without releasing the exhibitor from paying the sum agreed upon in this contract.
Limitations
Exhibits shall be so installed that they will not extend beyond the space alloted. Distribution of printed matter, souvenirs or other articles must be restricted to the space of the exhibit. Any part of the exhibit that is over eight (8’) high must have written approval for installation by The Daily Independent & The Swap Sheet. No individual public address systems or highly flammable materials will be permitted on the premises. Music or audio-visual sounds must not be audible more than five (5’) feet from booth.
Exhibitors are to remain within the confines of their booth and are not to work in public aisles.

The Daily Independent & The Swap Sheet cannot guarantee exhibitors against loss or damage of any kind. Space is leased with the understanding that the exhibitors will hold sponsors harmless from any or all liabilities from any cause. The Daily Independent & The Swap Sheet shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury that may occur to the exhibitors, their employees or property from any cause whatsoever prior, during or subsequent to the period covered by the exhibit contract and the exhibitor on signing the contract expressly releases sponsors and all claims for such loss, damage, or injury.
Eventuality
In any case of facility damage caused by fire, other elements or causes, or in case any other circumstances shall make it impossible for Management to permit the contracted space to be occupied by the exhibitor shall waive any claim for damage or compensation except the pro-rate return of the amount paid for space rental.

Last tax season, volunteers filed returns for over 200 taxpayers in the Ridgecrest area.Tax Counselors work with taxpayers by filing tax returns. Client Facilitators welcome taxpayers, help organize paperwork, and manage the overall flow of service. 1 boneless beef chuck roast (3 to 4 pounds) 2 teaspoons pepper 2 teaspoons salt, 2 tablespoons canola oil 2 medium onions, cut into pieces 2 celery ribs, chopped 3 garlic cloves, minced 1 tablespoon tomato paste 1 tablespoon minced fresh thyme 3 teaspoons tomato pasye 1 cup dry red wine 2 cups beef broth 1 pound small red potatoes, quartered 4 medium parsnips, peeled and cut into 2-inch pieces 6 medium carrots, cut into 2-inch pieces 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 325°. Pat roast dry with a paper towel; tie at 2-in. intervals with kitchen string. Sprinkle roast with pepper and 1-1/2 teaspoons salt. In a Dutch oven, heat oil over medium-high heat. Brown roast on all sides. Remove from pan. Add onions, celery and 1/2 teaspoon salt to the same pan; cook and stir over medium heat 8-10 minutes or until onions are browned. Add garlic, tomato paste, thyme and bay leaves; cook and stir 1 minute longer. Add wine, stirring to loosen browned bits from pan; stir in broth. Return roast to pan. Arrange potatoes, parsnips and carrots around roast; bring to a boil. Bake, covered, until meat is fork-tender, 2-2-1/2 hours. Remove roast and vegetables from pan; keep warm. Discard bay leaves; skim fat from cooking juices. On stovetop, bring juices to a boil; cook until liquid is reduced by half (about 1-1/2 cups), 10-12 minutes. Stir in vinegar and parsley; season with salt and pepper to taste.
