ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

2. Pay $60 USD application fee
3. Provide proof of English proficiency via TOEFL: 71, IELTS: 6.0, or iTEP Academic: 4.2. Students may also choose to complete our Intensive English Program*
4. Submit transcripts from each school attended demonstrating a 2.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 U.S. scale
5. Submit a copy of the photo page of passport
6. Submit proof of finances

Undergraduate scholarships are 4-year awards and graduate scholarships are 2-year awards. They are available to new and transfer students.
HOUSING
One very important aspect of your first year is finding housing. If you are a first-time student, single, and between the ages of 18-20, then you are highly encouraged to live in University Housing or HomeStay. Various housing options within the community are available for students who are married or over the age of 21 and choose to live off campus. Whatever your situation is, International Affairs will help all new international students secure housing.
UNIVERSITY HOUSING
University Housing promotes a social atmosphere so it is easy to connect with other students. Making great friends is easy with 17 common recreational, leisure and study spaces, along with numerous events and activities. University Housing also provides Resident Assistants who help promote a safe and secure environment, while serving as a resource to help you successfully achieve your academic goals. OFF-CAMPUS HOUSING

HOMESTAY
Our HomeStay Program gives you the opportunity to live with a local Cedar City family, share their home, meals, and daily lifestyle, and improve your everyday language skills. AMERICAN LANGUAGE & CULTURE CENTER
INTENSIVE ENGLISH PROGRAM WITH
THE AMERICAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE CENTER
Our Intensive English Program offers a dynamic learning community to English language learners by helping them achieve academic English proficiency and prepare to be successful in university classes. We also offer support for continued development of English language skills.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
You must submit an Online application, a $60 USD application fee, high school transcripts, a copy of your passport, and a financial statement. A language test score report is optional; however, if you wish to be placed before arrival must submit official test scores as described below.
PLACEMENT
You need to submit an official TOEFL, IELTS, OR iTEP score report to be placed in advance. Without official score reports you will be required to take a placement exam upon arrival at SUU. The placement exam is free for first-time students.

We offer several levels of classes, ranging from beginner to university-level.

The ALCC offers 6 academic terms per year. Each term is 6 weeks long.
