Year in Review

D

uring our year at Surface Warfare we have run the gamut of subjects ranging from managing your naval career to developing capabilities to instituting new standards across the Fleet. We’ve covered the bicentennial of the War of 1812, observed the largest amphibious exercise

in the last ten years, and followed the DDG-1000 to its final stages of development. We’ve seen commissionings of new Ships as well as the change of office of the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy. All the while, the backbone of the Navy has been the Sailors’ dedication and commitment as seen during humanitarian efforts such as relief for Hurricane Sandy. We look forward to your continued readership as we enter into the New Year. It’s been an honor to support the Fleet in all things Surface Warfare.
