In 2023, we are proud to celebrate our third Top 100 Women in Supply Chain magazine, appreciating incredible female leaders making strides in their industries. In 2022, it was reported women held less than 25% of VP and Senior Leader roles in supply chain organisations. Yet, as we celebrate our top 100 leaders, it’s important to note that many of the women listed have not only led incredible careers, but have also worked tirelessly to support other underrepresented groups.
These women are titans in business and are paving the way for other women, creating space at the table for new faces, new ideas, and new growth, often leading to their companies pioneering new developments.

Throughout her career at Kuehne and Nagel, she has specialised in airfreight management and is now based in Switzerland as the Vice President of Air Logistics Operations in Global Air Logistics. Roxanne Flanagan started at Walgreens, the second-largest pharmacy chain in the US, in 1993 as a management intern. Three decades later, she is Senior Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer. Flanagan works with her teams to stay in-step with consumers, utilising everything from sameday delivery, partnerships with third-party delivery apps, micro-fulfilment centres, and drones: “I don’t know what the future is going to hold for Walgreens or for any retailer, as far as drones go,” she said. “We’re all kind of experimenting. The company is also focusing on microfulfilment centres to fill prescriptions, allowing the pharmacists to focus on customer engagement to refocus their workload.
