This is Garter Stitch. There is no programme card used. • Observe the 2 extra empty needles used at either end to assist with transferring. This confused me at first as I thought you had to Rack the Front Bed. No. You add 2 extra empty needles at each END of your work to ensure the end stitches transfer. Do I always do this? No. Depends on the yarn. Experiment. NOTE ABOUT YARN: When you begin to use and practice with the Garter Lace Transfer Carriage, do not use super-fine cone yarn, like 2/24 and do not use cotton. Use a wool or wool blend, and use a 4 Ply Fingering Yarn, 4 Ply Sock Yarn, Sport Weight or Double Knitting Weight to start. These transfer the best.
