South by Southwest Three Lawrence artists remove boundaries by exploring the influence of borders, cultures and generations once removed

enni White, Thomas Pecore Weso and Karen Wiley offer their visual impressions of places and of personal discoveries about themselves. Inspired by journeys south and southwest of Lawrence, from the Flint Hills to Central America, these artists are connected by blending landscapes with bits and pieces of Native, Hispanic and Indo-European cultures. They are also connected by their visual and spiritual responses to seemingly timeless places.
