Open to any artist who lives or works in the Lawrence and Douglas County region

First-place cash prize of $350

No entry fee All 2D and 3D works/media are eligible One entry per artist Artwork must be original, completed within the last 10 years and made available for exhibition at the Lawrence Public Library’s new building from August-September 2014

Entries will be judged based on the theme “Vision of Lawrence.” Entries should include: 1) Two digital jpeg or tif images of work (one full view and one detail). For convenience, the initial images should be no more than 4MB. 2) A document file that includes artist’s name, artist’s contact info and details of work (title, size and medium) Artist retains full copyright of the image, but submitting the image grants Lawrence Magazine and partner groups the right to include image in any promotional material related to the exhibition.

“Vision of Lawrence” (a juried art competition to commemorate the 10‐year anniversary of Lawrence Magazine)        

Open to any artist who lives or works in the Lawrence and Douglas County region First‐Prize winner to receive cash prize of $350 and will be the keynote speaker for the exhibition closing event at the Lawrence Public Library (tentatively scheduled for September 25). No entry fee All 2D and 3D works/media are eligible Submission deadline: August 11, 6 p.m. One entry per artist Artwork must be original, completed within the last 10 years and made available for exhibition at the Lawrence Public Library’s new building from August‐September 2014 Entries will be judged based on the theme “Vision of Lawrence,” by a jury of Barbara Waterman‐Peters (head juror), Ben Ahlvers (Lawrence Arts Center), Ursula Minor (Lawrence Public Library), Mick Braa (arts correspondent, Lawrence Magazine) and Susan Shea (Phoenix Gallery).
