The Sun Country Golf Summit is the largest gathering of golf leaders ever assembled in New Mexico and West Texas. The daylong event, scheduled for November 3rd, will be the most comprehensive educational opportunity for golf leaders in our region. The list of prominent speakers and educational topics includes national representatives of the USGA, PGA of America and major players in the golf business industry. The 2013 meeting will feature education for all aspects of golf course management ranging from ownership and taxation issues to customer service and tournament administration.

Each meeting and education session is tailored to the needs of the attendees. Whether you’re a golf course GM, professional, handicap chairman or SCAGA volunteer, there’s something for everyone in the Sun Country Golf world.
The PGA Fall Meeting will be held in conjunction with the Golf Summit. This is a great opportunity to accumulate MSR credits in the required Meetings / Education / Growth of the Game category.

On Monday, September 23 Sun Country PGA Professionals and amateurs came out in a big way to support fellow PGA Member Bob Basham. The event at Paa-ko Ridge was organized by Roger Martinez of Santa Ana Golf Club, Ken Adams of Sun Country Golf and Rob Murray of Paa-ko Ridge, to raise funds to offset Bob’s medical expenses. In a great show of support, tournament players and organizers raised $26,500 to help Bob and his family. A big thanks to everyone who participated to support this great cause! Daniel Hayden Leaves Sun Country Golf House Sun Country Junior Golf Director Daniel Hayden has taken a job as golf coach for the University of Texas Brownsville.
