THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE Student Bios Veronica Brizuela (Hair & Makeup Crew): Veronica Brizuelais an 8th grader this year, and this will be her 3rd show at SCA. She has worked as Hair & Makeup crew in Brigadoon, A Lighter Shade of Noir, and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. She would like to thank Mrs. Horine and everyone who welcomed her into the theatre. Charlotte Brownlee (Hair & Makeup Head, Dwarf): Charlotte Brownlee is a senior. This is her 12th show at SCA. Her favorite show was Peter Pan where she played the lost boy, Tootles. She is thankful for her family and her friends. Matthew Brownlee (Edmund): Matthew Brownlee is a freshman at SCA. This is his 14th show at SCA and his 7th year in theatre. His favorite previous roles include Michael Banks in Mary Poppins, Matthew in Anne of Green Gables, Harold in R+H Cinderella, and John Darling in Peter Pan. Matthew would like to thank his parents for allowing him to do theatre, Mrs Horine for her amazing directing, and Mr. Beard for his special addition to the theatre community. Kai Burke (Set Design Crew, 4th Animal, Sheep): This is Kai Burke's 5th show at SCA. Kai has done Cinderella, Hello, Dolly!, Peter Pan, Brigadoon, and now, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. She enjoys theatre because it allows one to shine in every area of creativity and it lets them grow their talents. She loves the people here and they are all super supportive. She would like to thank her parents for supporting her and taking her to and from practice. Josephine Carrera (Hair & Makeup Crew): Josephine Carrera is a freshman this year and this is her 4th show that she has done. She has performed in Cinderella, Hello Dolly, and Brigadoon here at SCA. This is Josie's 2nd time doing hair and makeup. Josie loves getting to spend time with her fellow cast mates and the crew. She would like to thank her family for their encouragement, love, and support. Josie is grateful to the Lord for his faithfulness and blessings in her life, and she hopes to shine his light through all she does! Emma Coats (Elf): Emma is a junior and this is her 10th show with the SCA theatre family. Her favorite roles in the past have been Meg Brockie in Brigadoon, Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly!, Charlotte in Cinderella, Broadway, and Mrs. Darling in Peter Pan. She would like to thank her sister Katie for always being there and supporting her even though she lives 650 miles away and her parents for helping on Saturdays and for giving great advice. She would also like to thank her friends Matthew, Abigail, and Emi for their constant encouragement and joy in her life. Lastly, and most importantly, Emma would like to thank God for giving the world the gift of theatre and for also bringing joy, love, and forgiveness into this world Jesus. Adelle Cochran (Hair & Makeup Crew): Adelle has always enjoyed connecting with people and being creative, taking the step to be in theatre has been one of the best choices she’s made. She enjoys being a part of the crew and connecting with all the people. Abbie Cook (Scenic Design Head Lucy): Abbie is a senior and this is her 18th show at SCA and 20th show in general. Some of her previous roles include Heather Chandler in Heathers, Victoria in The Pirate Bride, and the Footman in Cinderella Broadway. Abbie would like to thank all the people who have loved and supported her throughout her theatre experience, especially her mom and dad and amazing boyfriend. She would also like to thank her great friend Charli for helping her and pushing her to be the best person that she can be.


Addison Davies (Stage Crew, Wood Nymph): Addison Davies is a Junior at SCA. This is her first time doing crew here, but she has been on Costume Crew in the past with other theatres. This will be her third production in the SCA theatre department and her twentieth show overall. She would like to thank Madyn for always singing musical theatre songs in her ear, among many others who have shown a genuine love for theatre and helped ignite her own. Violet Darby (Witch’s Army, Wolf): Violet Darby is a freshman at SCA. This is her 6th show at SCA and his eighth show overall. Her favorite role was playing Marilla Cuthbert in Anne of Green Gables. Violet would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her. She wants to thank the seniors for being amazing mentors and helping her strive for greatness in theatre and in her life. She also would like to thank her costume crew leads for being amazing people to be around. BreAnna Ellison (Witch’s Army, Wolf): BreAnna Ellison is a sophomore and this is her 3rd show at SCA. BreAnna has enjoyed being a part of such a fun group of people. She enjoys painting sets on theatre work days with her friends. BreAnna would like to thank her brother, Joshua, for introducing her to theatre. BreAnna would also like to thank her parents for encouraging and allowing her to do theatre. Abby Gleason (Witch’s Army, Wolf): Abbyis a sophomore and this is her 11th show at SCA and her 14th overall. Her favorite roles have been Jane Ashton in Brigadoon and Carlotta Carlyle in The Alibis. Abby would like to thank her parents for constantly being supportive of her passion for acting and all things theatre, her friends for making this show an unforgettable experience, and above all Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior for continuing to show her His goodness and grace throughout her life. Abby would like to dedicate her performance to her Nanny and Poppy, Clara and John, for being at every performance, even if it goes later than eight p.m. Josie Gillihan (Hair and makeup crew): Josie is a freshman and this is her 5th show at SCA. She enjoyed being with her friends in Cinderella, Broadway: it was a fun community of actors. Josie wants to thank her parents for always supporting and guiding her. Hunter Harris (Aslan): Hunter Harris (Aslan) is a Senior and has been involved in theatre since he was 6 years old. The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is his 14th show at SCA and he is nearing his 30th show in total. Some of his favorite roles have been Romeo in The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet, Kurt in The Sound of Music, and Horace Vandergelder in Hello, Dolly! Hunter would like to thank his parents for all they have done for him throughout his musical theatre and acting experience. From driving him to and from rehearsals at a young age to still showing up at rehearsals to help in any way possible; they have been there for him always. Hunter would also like to thank his brother and sister as they have walked alongside him in theatre and in life and have modeled Christ-like behavior on and off the stage. He would also like to give his thanks to Mrs. Horine for her direction of this show and the opportunities and love she both shows and gives. Most importantly, he would like to thank his Heavenly Father for His grace, love, patience, comfort, consistency, and eternal blessings that come with His grace. Charli Hinton (Set Construction Lead, Susan): Charli is a junior at SCA this year. The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe will be her 13th show acting and 5th show being the head of set construction. In being part of many shows, a couple of her favorite ones were A Simpler Time starring as Abigail and Judy, The Pirate Bride starring as Portia, and Haphazardly Ever After starring as Teacher 1 and Roe. She would like to praise Jesus for allowing her to have the skills she does and giving her the opportunity to be part of the theatre department for as long as she has. She thanks her friends and family for always supporting her in her various roles by helping run lines, songs, and dances, and for all those who come to support her no matter what role she gets.


Noah Howes (Set Crew): Noah Howes has been in 5 shows this is his 6 one. His favorite show was Hello, Dolly! because it was his first and the best one he’s done in his opinion. He is looking forward to this upcoming play and many more shows to come. He wants to thank all the seniors for helping him deepen his relationship with the theatre family, and with his Christian walk as they have had a big impact on that. George Hoelzel (Father Christmas): George Hoelzel Is a junior in highschool and this is his sixth show in the SCA theatre company. He was Cornelius in Hello, Dolly! George is really excited to play Father Christmas, and his favorite part about the show was actually being able to choreograph some of the big fight scenes. George really enjoyed working with the cast and he is excited to see how the cast works together in his senior year! Holly Hoover (6th Animal, Sheep): Holly Hoover a freshman at Summit Christian Academy. This is her fourth show she’s been in; her first show was Hello, Dolly! where she was in ensemble. Her second show was The Little Princess where she played the baker and adopted an orphan. Her third show was Brigadoon. She was an ensemble member and a mist of morning dancer. Her fourth show is The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. She is playing the lamb and one of Aslan's followers. She would like to thank her friends and parents for letting her be a part of all the shows. She would also thank them for having time to do things that she loves. Addison Janchyshyn (AJ) (Stage Manager, Wood Nymph): AJ is a sophomore and this is her twelfth show at SCA. Her favorite role was playing Estella in A Case to Crack, but she has now found her place as the spectacular stage manager. Her maturity and responsibility have saved many a show. She would like to thank her incredible friend for writing this bio for her and Karly Greg. Ella Jones (Co-Costumes Manager, Unicorn): Ella is a senior this year and has participated in SCA theatre for six years. This will be her fifteenth show at SCA. Ella's favorite role at SCA has been Nibs, a lost boy in Peter Pan. She would like to thank her parents for always being there and supporting everything she does. She would also like to thank all for the moms that helped her with costumes in the three years she has been a costumes manager. Lastly, Ella would like to give a shout out to her sister who has always been her biggest supporter and fan. Jenna Jones (Costumes crew, Set Painting, Stage Crew, Wood Nymph): Jenna is a seventh grader this year she has been on costumes crew since fifth grade helping her sister Ella with Cinderella. This is Jenna's first year on stage crew and set painting and has loved every minute of it. She would like to thank her Mom and Dad for always supporting her. She would also thank her amazing sister for writing her bio for this program. James Lee (Mr. Beaver): James Lee is a junior and has been involved in theatre since he was eight years old. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is his 12th show. Some of his favorite roles have been Charlie Dalrymple from Brigadoon, and Jeremy Potts from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. James would like to thank his parents and grandparents for all their prayers, love, encouragement, and support. He would also like to thank Mrs. Horine for everything she does. Most importantly, he would like to thank Jesus for giving His life as his Lord and Savior. Regan McCarty (Costumes Crew): Regan McCarty is an eighth grader at SCA. She has been a part of the costume crew for three shows: Brigadoon, Lighter Shade of Noir, and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.


Sean McCarty (Stage Crew, Soldier): Sean M. McCarty is a Junior at SCA. This is his second show at SCA; he has done stage crew in Brigadoon and is a soldier in this current show, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. He would like to thank his parents, especially his mother for pushing and encouraging him to join the theatre production. Throughout the production process, she has helped him to break out of his shell and be a little more involved in activities that involve social activity and hard work. Kenzie Ozborn (White Stag, 5th Animal): Kenzie Osborn is a senior and this is her 5th show at SCA. She would like to thank her theatre friends for always encouraging her and creating memories with her that she will never forget. She would also like to thank her family for supporting her and allowing her to do what she loves to do. Most importantly, she is grateful to the Lord for everything He has done in her life and she hopes to bring Him glory through this show! Hayden Palmer (Hair & Makeup Crew): Hayden Palmer is an 8th grader this year, and this will be her 5th show at SCA. She has worked on the Hair & Makeup crew in Peter Pan, Haphazardly Ever After, Brigadoon, A Lighter Shade of Noir, and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. She would like to thank Mrs. Horine, everyone who welcomed her into the theatre, and her parents for always encouraging her. Nora Schuh (Co-Costumes Manager, Mrs. Beaver): Nora is a Senior and this is her 16th SCA show and 22th overall. Her favorite roles are Ernestina Money in Hello, Dolly! and Princess Peppermint in Haphazardly Ever After. She would like to thank her family and her friends for being the best supporters ever! Abby Siemsen (Witch’s Army, Wolf): Abby is in 9th grade at SCA. This is her 5th show at SCA and her 6th show in all. Her favorite part in was Geraldine in the Alibis. She would like to thank her grandpa for helping her gain her confidence in singing at acting in front of other people. Morgan Sommers (2nd Army Member): Morgan Sommers is a senior. This is his second show. Previously, he played Archie Beaton in Brigadoon. In this show, he plays a wolf. He enjoys theatre because of all the amazing people he has gotten the chance to meet and connect with. He would like to thank his parents for always supporting him in everything that he does. Weston Stucker (Tumnus): Weston has been in many theatre shows at SCA. In Brigadoon he was cast as Jeff Douglas.In this show he is playing Tumnus. A simple yet fun character. Weston is a junior. Weston likes theatre because it's expressive and memorable. Weston wants to thank his family for helping him get to where he needs to be in this endeavor. Levi Tomlin (Peter): Levi Tomlin is a junior at SCA. This is his 8th show at SCA and his 9th show overall. Roles he has enjoyed playing are August in The Pirate Bride, Barnaby in Hello, Dolly!, Peter Pan in Peter Pan, and Kurt in The Sound of Music, and so far has loved playing Peter in this show. Levi would like to thank his friends and family for their love and support, and Mrs. Horine for her grace and mercy. Levi would like to shout out his friends Matthew Brownlee (Edmund) & Weston Stucker (Tumnus), and his girlfriend, Olivia Thompson (1st Animal), for keeping him calm in tough and high emotions. Last but not least he would like to thank the Lord for everything he has done for the cast and crew.


Izzy Thompson (2nd Animal, Deer): Izzy Thompson is a freshman at SCA. She is so glad that she was able to be a part of this amazing and influential play! She would like to thank both her parents for supporting and encouraging her, her sister Livy for being such a great friend, and the whole theatre community for putting so much work into making this show come to life. This is Izzy’s seventh SCA show and her eighth overall. Her favorite role that she has played was Sara Crewe in the show, A Little Princess. Izzy has loved being a part of this show's cast and can’t wait for opening night! Livy Thompson (1st Animal, Deer): Livy is a senior at SCA. She would like to thank her parents for encouraging her to participate in theatre many years ago because she wouldn’t be where she is right now without that little nudge, and her friends for encouraging her to audition for an on-stage role for her final show. This is her eighteenth show at SCA which is all the way from seventh grade, up until today. Her favorite role was being a townsperson in Brigadoon because it was her first chance to dance and sing on stage with her friends. She was the Tech Director in the majority of her previous shows, but felt like it was best to continue her change of scenery. She is an official member of the International Thespian Society and has achieved the title of Secretary on the Council. Her favorite show that she has participated in was The Importance of Being Earnest for two reasons: one being because she realized that the cast and crew were like her second family and the other reason being that she loved the plot twists and comedy. Livy has really enjoyed working with the cast and crew on this show and is looking forward to going out with a bang! Addison Welch (Centaur): Addison is a sophomore and this is her twelfth show at SCA. Her favorite role was playing Detective Goose in A Case to Crack. She is incredibly grateful for everyone and everything God has given her, and she would like to thank her family for constantly supporting her and her friends and mentors for their advice and encouragement throughout this show. Makayla Welch (Usher, Run Crew): This is Makayla’s sixth show she has gotten to help out with and she loves every second of it! Some of her favorite roles have been Anne IV in Anne of Green Gables, Lottie in A Little Princess, and Shirley Holmes in A Lighter Shade of Noir. She would like to thank her family for their support, the theatre family including high schoolers for giving her help and advice, and her directors and music directors. She is so excited to help out with The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and can't wait for more shows in the future! Esther Willoughby (Witch’s Army, Wolf): Esther Willoughby is a sophomore at SCA this year. This is her 5th show at SCA. Some previous shows and roles she’s done were ensemble for Hello, Dolly!, Tick Tock Croc for Peter Pan, Glitterbell for Haphazardly Ever After, and ensemble for Brigadoon. She would like to show gratitude towards her friends for helping her get through some of the stress that can come with being an actress, especially during show week and tech week. Bella Wilson (Hair & Makeup Head): Bella Wilson is a senior. This is her 5th show at SCA. Her favorite show was Peter Pan. She is thankful for her family, friends, Jesus, and her cat. Braeden Wooldridge (3rd Animal, Ram): Braeden is a Senior at Summit Christian Academy and this is his 5th show with SCA Theatre. In The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe he is a background character (Ram) as well as a set builder. Some other productions he has been in include Hello, Dolly! (Rudolph Reisenweber), Brigadoon (Mr. Lundie), The Pirate Bride (Bertrand Fantouille), and other characters from many One Act nights. He would like to thank Mrs. Horine for being an amazing director, Mr. Schnick and Mr. Coats for teaching him how to build sets well, and his parents for encouraging him to do theatre. He would also like to thank God for giving me the ability to participate in theatre and glorify him in doing so.


Hannah Wyssmann (White Witch): Hannah Wyssmann is a Senior at SCA this year. This is her fifth production at SCA and her eighth overall. Some favorite roles that she has played include, Princess Cinnamon in Haphazardly Ever After, and her most recent performance as Fiona MacLaren in this year's musical, Brigadoon. She would like to thank the incredibly talented Mrs. Horine, fellow cast members, and her family, who so graciously endured the many hours spent running lines and traveling to and fro. Above all, she thanks the Lord for allowing her to use her gifts to continue glorifying him in all she does! She feels so blessed to have had the opportunity to participate and grow alongside the amazing "theatre family," here at SCA! Elijah Zicari (Tech Crew): Elijah Zicari is an eighth grader.This is his second year of theatre here at SCA. He has been a part of the cast for one play and every other play he has participated on the Tech team running sound and such, and he hopes to participate in more plays in the future. Xander Zumwalt (Fenris Ulf): This is Xander Zumwalt's 5th and final show as a part of the SCA Theatre Department. In past shows he's been a dancer in Hello, Dolly!, Mr. Smee in Peter Pan, Prince Hairgel in Haphazardly Ever After, Harry Beaton and a lead dancer in Brigadoon, and now Fernis Ulf in The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe. After joining the cast of Hello, Dolly! for a bet a few years back, he found out that he is not a bad dancer and can actually act a bit too. With that being said he is not a theatre kid at all but is very thankful for the SCA Theatre department and Mrs. Horine who have accepted him into the theatre family and allowed him to play some incredible roles that he will never forget. Theatre has been some of the most fun he’s had in high school and he knows he will miss it. Xander would like to thank everyone who has been a part of these past 5 shows for the unforgettable experience.
