PaskuJuan in Davao Region to gather 2,000 Pantawid beneficiaries DAVAO del Norte--Some 2,000 beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilya Program have been invited to showcase the products during the PaskuJuan Bazaar on November 29, 2015 at Tagum Trade Cultural Center in Tagum City, Davao del Norte. Exhibitors are also beneficiaries of Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) through which Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries are

trained either to become entrepreneurs or be trained for employment. Guesting during the Kapihan sa Kapitolyo, SLP Regional Project Coordinator Raynel C. Ayungao assured that products to be displayed on Sunday by SLP beneficiaries will be of quality worthy to be purchased by consumers and traders as well. “What’s good for our

beneficiaries is that they are given the chance to showcase their products,” he said. Among their products are handicrafts, processed foods and agricultural products,” he said. Though most of the SLP beneficiaries present will be coming from Davao del Norte, some will be coming from the provinces of Davao del Sur, Compostela Valley

and Davao Oriental. DAVAO City--A total of 60 stakeholders signified their commitment to the Integrity Pledge as Pag-ibig Fund holds the third of a series of governance and integrity forum in Davao City. Atty. Darlene Marie Berberabe, president and chief executive officer of the Pag-

ibig Fund said transparency and accountability is very important in their mission as they put importance to excellence, performance and good governance. “The integrity pledge is the right thing to do. We are setting the tone from the top,” she said. Berberabe stressed that since Pag-ibig is entrusted

with large contributions from the people, it must as well adhere to values like honesty and transparency from its ranks towards their partner stakeholders. “People must know what we are doing,” she pointed out. Berberabe said the Pagibig Fund is ISO-certified 9001:2008 which is an indic-

ative of their commitment to improve their services. Mindanao Film Fest to feature provincial films DAVAO City--Short films shot and produced in the provinces in Region-XI will be shown during the 11th Mindanao Film Festival. Among these films from the provinces include a selection coming from the Nabunturan Independent Film Exchange (Nabifilmex ), a film festival held in Nabunturan, the capital town of Compostela Valley Province.

Among these films from Nabifilmex include Supot, Tami-aw, Pangagho and Pantok, these films were created by Comvalenyo filmmakers deriving from local stories. Tami-aw a short docunarrative film about a conditional cash transfer (CCT) beneficiary won special citation on documentary and the NCCCA Sulyap Kultura Award in the recent Nabifilmex while Supot was awarded as Best DepEd Comval film. Another Comval shot short film titled “Pakot” will also be screened in the festival it tells the story of a young volunteer teacher serving a hinterland indigenous community in Comval.
