Opol opens opportunities for investors in business, tourism By GERRY LEE GORIT Correspondent
AT least three big-time investors from Cagayan de Oro City have set up satellite offices in Opol, Misamis Oriental, to pour
in millions worth of property development for business and tourism. Opol Mayor Max Seno said the three contractors have bought properties in different areas of the municipality.

Every year we commemorate Dr. Jose Rizal for his contributions to the Filipino people. His heroism reminds of all of us to be brave in fighting corruption, exploitation and injustices against culprits’ leaders in our society whom to be responsible in putting our nation into progress and development yet to provide opportunities in eradicating poverty and hunger. The flowers and the different presentations we offered were just only the superficial meaning of the celebration but his ideologies and principles in life are the challenges that we should tackle as public servants. Moreover, we shall serve our clients with utmost dedication and commitment yet to the best of our ability not only for our personal gains and glory but for societal transformations. Giving-out for ourselves in providing holistic services to the community where we served are the greatest gift that we could offer to the Filipino people. Indeed it is considered as our heroic manifestations of being a true and dynamic public servants. May the spirit of Rizalianism will inspire us in creating a difference as we serve others. On the other hand, we should make ourselves to be the agents of transformation in making our own community into better place to live in. self-sufficiency in water supply. “A company is now exploring a bulk water source for Opol,” he said. When it comes to taxation, Seno said “we are cheaper compared to the city.” Opol is located next to regional center Cagayan de Oro City. For tourism, a boardwalk and food center are in the offing. “Plans are ready and we are just waiting for the funding,” Seno said, adding that the Opol food center would offer more than 100 stalls selling a variety of dishes. “We will ensure cleanliness and make sure that the food is delicious,” he said.
