his is our favorite time of year. When everything feels all fresh and new and ready to begin again, building on what we've done well and letting go of missteps. And as we look back through the days and months of 2012, we can't help but smile. Because 2012 was a good year on Style Me Pretty. It was the year that the bar for what is beautiful was raised even higher than we thought it could be. It was the year that we walked into a bookstore and saw our brand sitting pretty on a store shelf. It was the year that we partnered with one of the largest brands in the media space, AOL, to build a site that will thrive in a way that we always thought we would. 2012 was a good year for Style Me Pretty. It was our year.

But it wasn't just ours. Not even close. It was those hundreds of brides and grooms that let us into their day. That gave us a window into their loves, their lives, their weddings. It was the year of laid back lovely with effortlessly beautiful florals and chic but approachable design taking center stage. It was the year that brides let down their hair, and more than ever, planned the weddings of their dreams, allowing ceremony and tradition to give them a foundation for whimsy and spunk. It was quite a year, 2012, and one that will forever go down in the books as one of the best for SMP and the readers that have allowed us to take the journey with them. Over the past 12 months we've been quietly noting the celebrations that have left the longest lasting impression. The ones that brides and grooms favorited, saving to their SMP dashboards so that they could share with vendors and friends and family. The ones that people liked on facebook and gabbed about in comments. The weddings that resonated on some level with you, our readers, and inspired you to share or save or gush. This magazine is a collection of the top 5 weddings in each of the following categories: Most Comments, Most Favorites, Most Facebook Likes. Some overlapped between categories and in those cases, we pulled another one in so that you could see 15 totally unique weddings. Then, just to spice things up, we've added the favorites of each of our editors here at SMP. So when you sit down with your morning coffee (or your afternoon bubbly), you'll have one beautifully curated edition of 2012's most beloved celebrations. Large and small, luxe and budget. These are the most adored of the adored, with a cover chosen exclusively by our readers. And we couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome.
