from THE EDITOR
a few months ago, we set out to accomplish the daunting task of choosing style me pretty’s top 20 weddings for 2010. twenty perfect weddings for our first ever digital magazine. sounds easy, right? well, considering the fact that we’ve featured around four weddings a day, every day for the last year, bringing the count to just over 1,000 weddings... it wasn’t as easy as you might have thought. in fact, it was close to impossible. So, rather than scrutinize each and every affair for total perfection, we decided instead, to leave it up to our readers. We pulled the twenty weddings that demanded the most amount of buzz throughout all of 2010. The most comments, the most links, the most gushing. The most “already-married’s” kicking themselves for not crafting a wedding just like the one featured, the most soon-to-be’s doubting every wedding decision they’ve made thus far. The kind of weddings that leaves a lasting mark and whose style truly changed the way SMP brides plan their own big day. Of those twenty weddings, we’ve designed Buying Guides for a little more than half, with lots of items from major online retailers. Showing you just how easy it is to pull off an affair of such loveliness. Okay, maybe easy isn’t the right word. How about doable...totally doable. So we hope you enjoy this first issue of SMP. We have managed to fall in love all over again with some of our favorite weddings and we know that you will too. Although each and every wedding is so different in terms of style and design, they all have one thing in common. They have been lovingly designed by a bride and groom who wanted their wedding to reflect their own unique personalities, their own unique styles.
