STRICTLY BMX Based in Melbourne, Strictly BMX has been at the forefront of the Australian BMX industry for over 16 years. Known worldwide we’re proud to have a heavy hitting family of Australian team riders including Chris Finnigan, Mick Bayzand, Renald McQueen, Kym Grosser & Colin Mackay. As a shop we’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with some of the biggest brands in BMX. We’re no strangers to special projects and world exclusives as well as producing our own lines of apparel and hardware. Our latest project brought us together with Melbourne graffiti legend Kid Paris to collaborate on Mick Bayzand’s signature Colony Teddy frame. What follows is some background on the process and the people involved. Make sure and check out the accompanying edit for full visual stimulation!

MICK BAYZAND Mick’s been part of the Strictly family for over 8 years and a Colony Pro rider for 5 years. He’s best known for being a rail slayer who isn’t scared to take on the gnarliest setups. Originally from Adelaide he now lives in Melbourne and rides full time. If he’s not on tour he’s out clipping up with his boys for any number of web and DVD projects.

KID PARIS Paris is one of Melbourne’s graffiti pioneers starting out in 1984 who experienced the foundation period of Australia's graffiti scene. By 1987 Paris forged partnership with DJ Peril (since 83) to form the crew “Claim To Fame” (C2F). Peril and Paris were two early b-boys and much like their flamboyant fashion, they’re best known for their largest production wall on Swan Street Auctions legal in Burnley Australia (1988), due to its immeasurable scale, detail and immense personality, Paris aged 16, Peril 17 pulled off a

mega burner which placed C2F crew on the map as one of the best productions to date. The two at their peak were some of the most influential style masters the city has ever seen. Far from a has-been, Paris still kills it on the regular with recent KRS One and Run DMC pieces garnering props worldwide. http://kidparis.blogspot.com.au
