The insurer said that they would not cover any costs associated with me going back to London. So I had to get the car back to London, and to drive it back home. The insurer sent some engineers who inspected the car and the insurance said to the garage that they would only cover 65% of the costs...due to the mileage of the car (83,000 miles roughly). The garage has repared the car without asking me if I was ok to pay the last 35% and the insurer did not mention it to me either.
