Pasados los primeros meses de este nuevo año y con la resaca de las listas de buenos propósitos ya superada; hemos vuelto a la realidad cotidiana de nuestras pequeñas vidas y comprobado hasta que punto nuestros deseos han quedado relegados ante la imposición de la machacona, inmutable y terca realidad. Año tras año es la misma historia y año tras año todo parece avanzar (si es que lo hace) muy lentamente. Cada año es una oportunidad perdida para progresar en la universalidad de los derechos sociales, en la igualdad, en la justicia y en la mejora de las condiciones de vida de aquell+s que formamos parte de las (mal llamadas) sociedades del bienestar. Un año más, el proyecto fotográfico de “Código Postal” sigue generando nuevas, a la vez que inmutables, imágenes. Fotografías documentales de hogares temporales “enmarcadas” en pequeños textos preexistentes extraídos de periódicos, revistas y magazines que se empeñan en ofrecernos una visión “amable”, colorida y un tanto insustancial de una realidad cotidiana casi siempre poco amistosa, gris y llena de trascendencia. La combinación de ambos documentos (fotografía y textos), crea imágenes que nos ofrecen una dura visión de la realidad y que reflexionan sin ambigüedad sobre las nociones de realidad y ficción que imperan en nuestras modernas sociedades. Trabajo en curso, en esta nueva serie de imágenes de “Código Postal” la fotografía documental aumenta su protagonismo, abarcando la mayor parte de la imagen final, relegando al texto a los márgenes de la misma. Un reflejo, quizás, de una toma de posición más firme si cabe todavía a favor de lo “descrito” en las fotografías y un mayor alejamiento de la edulcorada visión de la realidad que se ofrece en los textos. Textos que, en cualquier caso, siguen siendo imprescindibles en la conformación de la imagen final y, sin los cuales, el significado y “propósito” de las mismas sería muy diferente.

After the first months of this new year and with the hangover of our wish lists already overcome; we are back to the everyday reality of our little lives, having tested the extent to which our desires have been relegated to the imposition of the tiresome, unchanging and stubborn reality. Every year the same story and every year everything seems to improve (if it does) very slowly. Each year is like a missed opportunity to progress towards the universality of social rights, equality and justice, a missed opportunity to improve the living conditions in our (incorrectly named) welfare societies. Once again, the photographic series "Postcode" continues generating new, but also unchanging, images. Documentary photographs of temporary homes â&#x20AC;&#x153;framed" by preexisting texts extracted from newspapers, journals and magazines that stubbornly offer us a nice, colorful and somewhat insubstantial vision of a most often unfriendly, gray and meaningful everyday reality. The combination of both documents (photographs and texts) make up images that unequivocally face reality and unambiguously reflect on the prevailing notions of reality and fiction in our modern societies. Work in progress, in this new series of images from "Post code", documentary photographs prevail, covering most of the final image and leaving a marginal space for the texts. A reflection, perhaps, of taking a still stronger position in favor of the "situation described" in the photographs, moving away still further from the colored vision of reality offered in the texts. Texts that remain essential to make up the final image without which their significance and â&#x20AC;&#x153;purposeâ&#x20AC;? would change radically.
