CITY FUSION & BRIGHTER FUTURES AS PART OF THE ST. PATRICK’S FESTIVAL City Fusion (18+ years) and Brighter Futures (13-18 years) pageants are annually commissioned projects by St. Patrick’s Festival. The multi-disciplinarily arts projects create and present pageantry and street performance for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Through inspirational and imaginative stories, City Fusion and Brighter Futures bring to life unseen worlds and characters, exciting audiences with large scale, spectacular, street art performances. Using visual art, music, theatre, literature and dance, the initiative brings together people from a range of backgrounds, to celebrate diversity and promote inclusion. From January to March participants work with a team of highly-skilled, professional artists and facilitators at the project base, taking part in a series of workshops where they are immersed in the creative process. Following months of working together, City Fusion and Brighter Futures’ flamboyant and colourful procession of 200 musicians and performers waltz and swirl their creations down the parade route.
