ST. PATRICK’S FESTIVAL PARADE MARCHING BANDS 2014 THE ORCHESTRA OF THE ESTONIAN DEFENCE FORCES From: Tallinn, Estonia Director: LtC Peeter Saan

The orchestra was founded on 1st February 1993 as a state orchestra. The main tasks of the orchestra are to provide music on all state and military ceremonies, to welcome and to send off the VIPs and to perform concerts for both military and civil audiences. The Orchestra plays up to 180 performances per annum and has performed in international festivals right across Europe.

OWASSO HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND From: Oklahoma, USA Director: Mr. David Gorham

Owasso High School is a public high school in Owasso, a suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Owasso band program is the only program in Oklahoma to be awarded both the Sudler Shield (for marching) and the Sudler Flag of Honor (for concert), by the John Philip Sousa Foundation. They have received over 90 Oklahoma state

Sweepstakes Awards, and the Wind Ensemble has performed twice at the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago. The Pride of Owasso Marching Band has made 5 appearances in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. They have been finalists at Bands of America Regional and Super-Regional marching competitions in Atlanta, San Antonio, Arlington, St. Louis, Las Vegas and Grand Nationals. It is the bands first time in 40 years to be back in Ireland.

CLONDALKIN YOUTH BAND From: Dublin, Ireland Director: Mr. Vincent Dolan

Clondalkin Youth Band are one of the largest marching and concert bands in Ireland, have won many awards and are proud to have celebrated its 25th anniversary of teaching and performing music in Ireland and abroad. They have performed every year in the Dublin Parade since 1989. The band is under the expert guidance and baton of Mr. Vincent Dolan, a graduate of the College of Music, Dublin and a full-time member of the Irish Army School of Music.

ACTON BOXBOROUGH HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND From: Massachusetts, USA Director: Mr. Mark Hickey

This is the second appearance of the ActonBoxborough High School Marching Colonials in the Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The band first marched in the 2006 parade, and was honoured to take home the Best Overall Band Award! The band will be performing 3 different entertaining song selections along the parade route. In 2013 the band marched in the 100th Anniversary Cherry Blossom Festival parade in Washington D.C. They have also travelled extensively throughout the UK on a performance tour.
