After marketing successfully polymer dispersions, WACKER developed in 1957 a spray drying process that made it possible to deliver polymer dispersions as polymer powders, as well. This breakthrough was the beginning of polymer-modified dry-mix mortars. Go for Perfect Surfaces Self-leveling compounds must create smooth, void-free surfaces. But that’s not all. Perfect Surfaces With Less Ingredients VINNAPAS® L Class polymer powders improve both the mechanical properties and the flow properties.They achieve very smooth, defect-free surfaces when used in combination with casein and synthetic super-plasticizers. They also reduce surface bleeding and segregation. VINNAPAS® F Class polymer powders act both as a binder and a superplasticizer. This feature is particularly advantageous for pumpable compounds, where machine application cuts mixing time to a minimum. The required rheology can be adjusted to the right choice of F Class polymer powder, thereby simplifying handling and logistics. Eco-Labeling By using VINNAPAS® L and F products, you will meet the requirements of European eco-labels such as Blue Angel, Emicode EC1 plus, etc. Compliance with such labels will be determined by the dosage level.

Concrete Repairs That Last As well as optimizing technical performance, modification with VINNAPAS® polymer powder improves processability and wetting properties. Reliable and Easy Processing The first step is to re-shape the concrete with a repair mortar. An adhesive, cementitious slurry which has been modified with VINNAPAS® is added to the mortar to ensure it adheres reliably and permanently to the cementitious substrate (concrete). The repaired concrete structures are generally covered with a layer of fine filler one to three millimeters thick. VINNAPAS® dispersible polymer powder ensures good processing, prevents the thin layers from drying too quickly, raises the level of impermeability to CO2 and pollutants such as road salt, and improves freeze/thaw resistance.

They are therefore ideal for self-leveling compounds which require an instant liquefying effect and a special rheology.
