All forklift truck installations must comply with the UK Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (UKLPGA) Code of Practice 1 The vessels must be sited in accordance with the Codes of Practice away from potential hazards as outlined below in the example for 2000L installs: 3m from boundaries, fixed sources of ignition or drains Vehicles must not be parked within 6m of the installation with crosshatching clearly delineating the separation area 1.5m from overhead lines (<kV) e.g. telephone line, or 10m from overhead lines (>1kV) power lines 3–6m from diesel/kerosene tanks depending on capacity.

How do you respond to peak order times and what can we do to help? Vessel Protection from External Hazards Suitable protection shall be provided and positioned to prevent impact damage to the entire installation. Protection shall be suitable for the type of vehicles likely to cause damage, protection includes: Armco barriers for HGVs High sided kerbing Adequate separation from parked vehicles These requirements are not exhaustive but your MacGas Business Manager will be happy to explain more, such as Fire Precautions, Delivery Access and Public Access.
