Annual Meeting Scheduled on January 24 Vestry and Associate Vestry Candidates Profiled in this Issue Featured in this issue are bios of this year’s twelve nominees for the St. James Vestry. To be nominated is a distinct honor. To accept this nomination infers that the nominee is willing to serve for three years in a leadership position at St. James.

and (two years remaining): Margaret Culbertson, Andy McCall, Caroline Ross, Manette Sammons, Chip Stirling, and Gerry Sulzer.

Six current vestry members who have served their three-year terms will rotate off this important governing body. Twelve will remain, and you will select six new additional members to bring the total to 18 members of the vestry.

The Annual Meeting Day is Sunday, January 24, with an adjusted morning schedule:

Retiring members are Copper Alvarez, Lee Griffin, Lolly Martin, Trey Roberts, Shirley Young, and Dan West. We give grateful thanks for their dedicated service. Incumbent members are (one year remaining): Jane Christensen, Rip Collins, Chris Frink, Tricia Henderson, Josh Pesses, and Tom Wade; Helen Campbell and her husband Bill have been members of St. James Church for more than 40 years. Helen and Bill grew up in Indianapolis but call Baton Rouge home. Helen has served as president of the St. James Day School Parent’s Guild and served on the St. James Day School Board of Trustees. She chaired the St. James Church 1994 Sesquicentennial Celebration and has been an active member of St. Joan, St. Martha’s Guild, Gumbo and has served on the Vestry including junior and senior warden. Helen recently retired as the Lay Ministries Director and Director of Stewardship and Planned Giving at St. James. She attended Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and is a graduate of DePauw University. She was a broker with C.J. Brown Realtors. In the community, she has served as president of the Baton Rouge Symphony League and also served on the Baton Rouge Symphony Board, as well as president of the Friends of the LSU Rural Life Museum and chair of the Board

He has been a confirmed parishioner at St. James Church since 1996. He was married at St. James to T’lane in 1997. His children, Ryan and Gregory, were baptized at St. James in 2001 and 2003 and both children attended St. James Episcopal Day School through the See Vestry on page three
