Diverse Join College for All Kids for a funfilled summer with so much variety you will never get bored! Our camps range from culinary to technology and everything in-between! You will definitely find a program that your child will love.

Fun Our instructors and staff are committed to making sure your child has a blast at camp with lots of fun, hands-on activities and cool projects. Fridays are fun days with extra activities and an ice cream bar after lunch. What can be more fun than that? Kids have the option of purchasing lunch in the Student Center cafeteria or bringing lunch from home. Don’t forget to send a snack each day – students are busy with activity and get very hungry.

$4.75 will cover lunch and drink (water bottle or Sunny D). Who knows, your child may meet his or her new BFF at camp!

Flexible Come for a half-day camp or full-day camp, or come for the whole summer. Our before- and after-care program gives working parents the flexibility your family needs!

The packet includes important information you should know plus a welcome letter, menu options and an emergency form that must to be returned one week prior to camp.

Before- and After-Care Program Available! Before-care is available at 7 a.m., and after-care is available until 5:45 p.m. The minimum age for students to attend is 5 years old. There will be no after-care available for half-day camps.

Lions, Tigers and Bears Animal camp (Ages 4-5) Explore the wild! Go on a safari to create lions, tigers, bears and more. Enjoy animal games, animal crafts, storytelling with animal puppets and music. Make a mask of your favorite animal and join the parade! 9 a.m.-noon June 17-21 M-F $95

Shining Stars Theater (Ages 4-5)

Princess Ballet and Tap (Ages 4-5) This camp is designed to be your child’s first independent exploration into dance. Skills of dance such as coordination, movement quality and developmentally appropriate motor skills will be explored. Come enjoy the excitement of dance! 10-11 a.m. June 3-7 M-F $39

Circus Fun (Ages 4-5) Come one, come all! Your tot will use motion and musical instruments as they march to circus music and learn new tunes along the way. Love to be in the kitchen? Growing gourmets will have the opportunity to cook and have fun! Immerse yourself with cooking techniques, tools of the trade, basic etiquette, nutrition, safety and even a little kitchen math. Students will make gourmet sandwiches, homemade pizzas, cupcakes, pasta and more. There will be a recipe book and other goodies to take home. You won’t go hungry! 9 a.m.-noon June 3-7 M-F $105

Geocaching – The Search for Treasure! (Ages 9-12)

This camp will teach aspiring young performers how to present oneself in an audition setting. You will work on a variety of different audition scenarios from preparing a song cutting to monologue work to cold reading. Learn how to dress for the audition, how to keep a casting director’s attention, how to format a resume and how to present yourself in the best possible way. By the end of the week, you will have gained the confidence and preparation awareness for all future audition settings. 9 a.m.-noon June 3-7 M-F $165

Welcome to the high-tech treasure hunt. Join us for one of the fastest growing outdoor activities. Using handheld GPS units, you will hike SCC for buried caches. Be the first group to master reading a map and coordinates, learn the importance of maintaining your logbook, and use Internet sites to update data that can be used by other hunters. After this week, you will be able to direct your own family on a similar adventure. 9 a.m.-noon June 3-7 M-F $95

An American Girl’s Life (Ages 7-12) Enjoy the week with Josefina, Kirsten, Rebecca, Molly and Julie. Journey into each doll’s time period. Explore a way to be helpful or charitable, and choose a project to make for your favorite charity. Audition Workshop (Ages 11-16)

Computer Game Design (Middle School) Don’t just play the game – make it! This camp is an introduction into the awesome world of video game creation. Design your own arcade games, platform games, adventures and screensavers. You select your own heroes and monsters. At the end of the academy you will be able to save your game to play on your computer at home. 9 a.m.-4p.m. June 3-7 M-F $185

CSI: Mystery to Trial (Ages 7-12) Step into the shoes of a crime scene investigator. A mystery needs to be solved! Working together as a Crime Scene Unit, you will take crime scene photographs, search for clues and start a case file to keep track of the evidence. Learn real procedures for collecting fingerprints and analyzing blood spatter from a forensic expert, put clues together and interview witnesses to find the truth of the mystery. A mock trial will be held on the final day of camp. Discover how forensic experts and witnesses testify in court. Play the jury and decide whether the evidence was properly handled, and deliver a verdict. 9 a.m.-4p.m. June 3-7 M-F $165

Designed for younger LEGO® builders, you will build lego models featuring working sensors and motors, simple programming techniques, principles of simple and complex machines and gearing your own creativity. Design Girls (Ages 9 and up) Have you ever looked at Pinterest and saw a project you really wanted to make but never did? Now is your chance! Learn how to make and design crafts and turn inspirations into your own designs. Projects can range from creating jewelry, clothing, home decor, wall art and organic beauty products. Theater Skills (Ages 8-16) Learn the basic theatrical skills that cover all aspects of a production with a different focus each day. You will spend a brief amount of time on audition work and move on to script writing, acting skills, improvisation, costume and set design and how to give the best performance possible. Blast Off Into Outer Space (Ages 7-12)

Experience a multimedia camp adventure where computer characters are at your command! Let your imagination run wild as you learn programming basics with Scratch software through interactive storytelling. Students will think creatively while learning how to program their own stories, games and design animations with their own graphics and sounds. Projects include music videos, interactive toys, visual art and more. Share your creations on the Web. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 10-14 M-F $185

Design, build and launch your own rocket out of paper, bottles, tubes and more. Learn about thrust, lift, balance and force while experimenting with several forms of propulsion such as chemical reactions and pressures. Teams will develop a business plan to create a rocket for NASA to use for space tourism. From designing, creating budgets, building and launching, you determine which team will be the next to send their rockets on a space vacation. If we can make it launch, it is going up! 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 10-14 M-F $169

Percy Jackson Olympians, Lightning Thief (Ages 7-11) Join Percy and his friends as mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus walk straight out of the pages of Percy’s Greek mythology textbook right into this fun and imaginative camp! Do you have what it takes to fight your way through a world of mythological monsters and dangerous demi-gods? If you find your way to camp half-blood, you just may learn to fight like a real hero, save mythological creatures and battle the powers of the underworld. Only you can complete your quest! Week of June 17 Masterchef (Ages 7-12) Step up and become a culinary master! Immerse yourself with advanced cooking techniques, tools of the trade, basic etiquette, nutrition, safety and even some kitchen math. Growing gourmets will be making delectable delights from breakfast to dinner in preparation for the final cookoff. A CD of all recipes and cooking information will be given to all masterchefs. Take your engineering skills to a new level using LEGO® Mindstorms Robotics. Discover the challenges that make robotics technology accessible using problem solving techniques. Create your robot using basic computer programming, principles of simple and complex machines, gearing and your own creativity. Teams will attempt to exploit the design weaknesses or incidental mechanical advantage of their opponents’ robots. Painting Art Academy (Ages 7-11) The day begins with a painting project in the morning based on either a particular artist, like Vincent Van Gogh, or a concept such as a still-life or a self-portrait. Craft projects such as paper mache, sculpture, Sculpey® clay, mosaics, collage, painted vases, bookmaking and more. Calling all Muggles! Spend an enchanting week learning all about Harry Potter. Learn the Hogwarts Way by making magical wands and secret potions and discovering the proper care for magical creatures. Conquer different challenges and games where you can earn and lose points for the House Cup. By the end of the week you will master SCC’s version of Quidditch and become Harry Potter trivia experts. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 17-21 M-F $165

SCC Soccer Kicks (Ages 5-14) Get your game on! Discover your highest level of game play on SCC’s collegiate soccer field. Improve your soccer skills, techniques, field sense, physical strength and fitness and sportsmanship. Camps conducted by SCC head men’s and women’s soccer coaches. Stop Motion/Movie Trailer Filmmaking (Ages 10-14) Take your filmmaking to the next level! Stop-motion animations are created by using multiple still images to form a movie. Learn how to do stop motion to create a music video, or mini movie, or commercials or movie trailer. Create your own storyboard and use video editing software to edit animations and sync with music. The animations will come to life with the addition of music, special effects and professional titles. A creative, fun atmosphere for the young filmmaker! Get ready for fun! Eric Carle’s The Hungry Caterpillar and The Grouchy Ladybug books will be the inspiration as we create art projects based on his colorful books. Sculpt a favorite character or animal with paper mache, design a mobile for the garden, eat a fruit caterpillar and more. Camp will be held at the St. Charles County Arts Council. We will walk to the library next door for storytime and visit the area garden to see nature up close. 9 a.m.-noon June 24-28 M-F $105

For students who have taken a LEGO® Robotic Camp before, students will work in pairs to use LEGO® Mindstorm NXT Robotic kits. Program your robot to meet advanced challenges and design your own system. Students will also work with Solar LEGO® Energy Kits and build solar energy cars, wind turbines and a solar energy system. Week of June 24 Let’s Go Flying: Aviation Camp (Middle School)

Extreme Computer Game Design Explore many of the possible aviation careers and meet ex- (Middle School) perts from those fields. Learn the fundamentals of flight by designing, building and testing your own model aircrafts. Take a field trip to the Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield where you will witness airport operations first-hand and learn more about what it takes to have the right stuff. You will also tour an operational air traffic control tower and get up close and personal with a few different types of airplanes and helicopters. Learn the tactics to succeed using computers that allow you to fly various challenges with flight simulators. Broadway Musical Theater Revue (Ages 10-16) Perform in a musical revue! You will get a chance to pick music from shows such as Rent, Annie Get Your Gun, Shrek, Beauty and the Beast, Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma, Wicked and Les Misérables. and participate in choreographed routines. Junior Detectives Reading Adventures (Ages 7-9) Jump start your reading potential in this two-week camp! Practice literacy skills using the A-Z Mystery Book. Journal your clues and learn reading strategies to decode your mystery. Illustrate, solve and publish your own adventures. Bogey, Birdie and Par Golf (Ages 7-12) Want to be the next Ricky Fowler? Learn the basics such as putting, chipping, correct stance, proper swing and golf etiquette. Camp will include lessons every day at Golf Headquarters in O’Fallon. The last day ends with nine holes of golf at the neighboring Pheasant Run Golf Course, lunch and an awards ceremony. In this ghastly camp, you will have burping contests, learn about farts and poop shoots and make fake barf, blisters and scabs. Not gross enough? Making Movie Magic (Ages 10-14) Ever wanted to fly on screen like Superman or walk on an alien planet? Here’s your chance! Create your own short film through the whole process from storyboards to script writing to editing. Learn how to use a chromo key screen to take your audience on an adventure that is out of this world! You will leave the camp with your original movie on DVD. Drama Camp (Ages 10-16) All the world’s a stage! Experience the exciting process of theater through scene work and characterization. You will audition for a specific published play on the first day. Masterchef (Ages 7-12) Step up and become a culinary master! Immerse yourself with advanced cooking techniques, tools of the trade, basic etiquette, nutrition, safety and even some kitchen math. Growing gourmets will be making delectable delights from breakfast to dinner in preparation for the final cookoff. A CD of all recipes and cooking information will be given to all masterchefs. Aprons provided. Bring a water bottle each day and wear closed-toed shoes. Prerequisite: Must have taken Kids in the Kitchen or have prior kitchen experience. 9 a.m.-noon July 15-19 M-F $105

Lego® Robotics (Ages 9-13)

Take your engineering skills to a new level using LEGO® Mindstorms Robotics. Discover the challenges that make robotics technology accessible using problem solving techniques. Create your robot using basic computer programming, principles of simple and complex machines, gearing and your own creativity. Teams will attempt to exploit the design weaknesses or incidental mechanical advantage of their opponents’ robots. Projects include: car with rackpinion steering, lawn mower, puppy and many more. Journey to Middle Earth (Ages 11-16) Come explore rich history and setting of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth using the book and movie adaptions of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Create your own character using the history and lore that Tolkien has created. This is a writing intensive camp, and we will use those characters to recreate scenes from the book and movie. You will draw maps, discuss fantastical creatures, create clothing, design shields and flags and role play. Song writing, gardening, riddle competitions and making a hobbit meal will make each student feel immersed in this world. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 15-19 M-F $175

Physics, Flight and Vehicles (Ages 7-12) Blast into a fun-filled week. Design, build and launch airplanes, flying gadgets, motor vehicles, hot air balloons and more! Learn the physics behind flight, and race your vehicles for speed and distance. You will learn the tactics to succeed as pilots using computers that allow you to fly with flight simulators. Watch the flight club perform aerobatics with their remote control airplanes, and learn how they control the flight and distance for their planes. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 15-19 M-F $175

Roald Dahl is one of our greatest storytellers. Explore how literacy and cooking come together in this hands-on unique experience. Make an enormous crocodile, create golden tickets and make your own chocolate factory. Recipes include: peach juice, strawberry-flavored, chocolate-covered fudge and edible marshmallow pillows. Get your creative juices flowing as you create your own version of poems and stories similar to the ever entertaining Roald Dahl. 9 a.m.-noon July 22-26 M-F $99

The ideal camp for all fashionistas where you are the star. As you know with fashion, you are either in or you are out! Start with making your own fashion inspiration board and find out what the challenge of the day will be. Learn proper sewing techniques to create your own clothing and jewelry designs. Mad Science – Mad Inventors Camp (Ages 7-12) Creative Contraption Warning! This is camp designed by you – the inventor! Each day you’ll be given a series of challenges which must be overcome using basic materials, simple machines, tips from the world famous inventors and the most important thing of all – your mind. With a little bit of ingenuity you’ll construct catapults and forts and then lay siege, fabricate a winning egg drop design, construct a dancing robot and assemble a working light saber to take home.
