Olive Land is an arts and crafts store which has unique sculptures and wood carvings made exclusively from 100% Greek olive wood. Olive wood is beautiful, with grains of color ranging from cream to pink to black and the trees are only cut down when they can no longer be harvested. All designs are handmade and one of a kind made in Greece. Στο κατάστημά Οlive Land θα βρείτε μοναδικά γλυπτά φτιαγμένα αποκλειστικά από 100% ελληνικό ξύλο ελιάς. Το ξύλο της ελιάς είναι εξαιρετικό υλικό για ξυλοκατασκευές και ξυλόγλυπτα γιατί είναι πολύ όμορφο, με κόκκους χρώματος που κυμαίνεται από κρεμ έως ροζ και μαύρο. Το ξύλο που χρησιμοποιείται προέρχεται από ώριμα δέντρα ελιάς που είναι πλέον μη-καλλιεργήσιμα. Όλα τα σχέδια είναι χειροποίητα.

In the specially designed exhibit area of the Orpheus Gallery you will see a marvellous collection of famous museum pieces and icons of the Byzantine period. The collection includes mosaics, statues, and vases in various sizes and forms with different illustrations and patinas from the classical and hellenistic periods. Α large section of the gallery is dedicated to Byzantine icons which are painted in the traditional way with egg tempera and gold leaf gilding on aged wood. Στον ειδικά διαμορφωμένο εκθεσιακό χώρο του Orpheus Gallery θα δείτε μια υπέροχη συλλογή από συλλεκτικά κομμάτια μουσείου και εικόνες της βυζαντινής περιόδου. Η συλλογή περιλαμβάνει ψηφιδωτά, αγάλματα, αγγεία σε διάφορα μεγέθη και σχέδια με διαφορετικές πατίνες και εικονογραφήσεις από την κλασική και ελληνιστική περίοδο. Ένα μεγάλο τμήμα της γκαλερί είναι αφιερωμένη στην βυζαντινή εικόνα που είναι ζωγραφισμένη με τον παραδοσιακό τρόπο με αυγοτέμπερα και επιχρύσωση από φύλλο χρυσού σε παλαιωμένο ξύλο.
