Ka-Pow! Pop! Poetry! The Storm Along the ocean shore, the moon was bright as lights. The distorted area is beginning to restore, to its original sounds and sights.

Grades 6 & 7 A Poem This is a poem, a poem that isn’t perfect, but it’s at the best of its ability,

For a long time ago the earth gave a shout! No one knows So here is the story of that great shout.

a poem that is written on a piece of paper,

Along came a sound past the ocean floor, The sound was mysterious no one had ever herd before. Then a crash of lightning came down, And no one made a sound.

a piece of paper that was once blank, but was intended to be written on.

Then out of no where came a wave, That buckled to the ground in rage! Then no animal or human made a peep, Because they were all fast asleep. No one knew of the storm, But everyone saw the left over debris. It tore apart their parks and schools, It left hundreds of people lying in the streets. Many people wish they had prepared, For the tsunami that left their fields bare. The End Kathryn Connair 7th Grade, OHVA

MY FAV COLOR The color purple My favorite color I love it so much Nyal Alston 6-7th Grade, Crenshaw Middle School

This poem will eventually, be revised, be edited, be checked, be typed, be printed, and finally be read. After that, it either will be thrown away at the bottom of a trashcan, or it will be stored and sometime be discovered and read again. This is a poem, a poem that isn’t perfect, but it’s at the best of its ability. Jake Yoder 7th Grade, Lake Center Christian School
