Ka-Pow! Pop! Poetry! The Random Poem: Im bouta spit a couple of bars, im only 14 so im not allowed to drive cars. I don’t have any friends, there all fakes and snakes! I’m feeling kind of hungry, Pizza, pasta, burgers fries and steak, and for desert I’ll take a couple pieces of chocolate cake. Rikelle Rice 8th Grade, Early College Academy He’s Never Truly Gone Dedicated To My Father Steve

Grades 8 & 9 The Pressure like the wind on my face The nice breeze when it does blow With everything I can win this race I just push myself till I really go The big track is so black I tell myself not to be slow But sometimes I always lack Everyone in front will know Sometimes I go slow so I dont have an heart attack But I cant stop, my dad is in the last row I would rather have a dirt track But, oh well, maybe I'll win a bow

My father may have passed, But He’s never truly gone.

Or maybe I'll win more horse tack When I win, I'm going to glow Everyone will yell “Go Hammer Head Jack “ I wear his shoes upon my feet and his shirts upon my chest, And that's when I know I can go slow. So He’s never truly gone. Bethany Boyle 8th Grade, East Canton Middle School I carry his emotions inside my heart, And that way He’s never truly gone. He may not be here now, But still, He’s never truly gone I have his favorite belt, and his silver ring, And to me, He’s never truly gone. I wear his soul, like a regal cape, So that He’s never truly gone I think his thoughts, and possess his laugh, So to family, He’s never truly gone. I wear his glasses, and see the world how he did, And in my mind, He’s never truly gone. I have all his love, and all his knowledge, So to the world, He’s never truly gone

My Hero you weren’t a hero known by the world, you were a hero known by your little girl. I know I get mad when you shriek at me, but I know you’ll be there when I need long arms. I love how you risk your life day by day, to keep a roof over my head and all the bills paid You taught me life lessons from right to wrong, installed values and how to be strong. you live your life like a man of steal helping me when I need it, I plan to choose a man like you so I can marry someone like my hero.
