2013 Youth Poetry Contest Friends

You make laugh and smile I hope we stay friends for a while Friends are the best part in life They give you someone to talk with at night I know sometimes we fight but Later on we will be alright

I trust you and you Trust me we fit together like a puzzle piece

I tell you my most treasured secrets And I know that you’ll always keep it

In the end when we grow up we’ll stay Friends forever! Tomorrow is a new day! It’s time to endeavor these Friends will be friends they stick to each other until the very end Kennedy Williams Grade 6, Worley Elementary School

Chaim swinik I am clueless and brave I wonder why this is happening I hear train whistles and screams I see people being abused I want to live through this horrible thing/time I am clueless and brave I pretend that I am dreaming I feel my mother beside me I touch the walls of my house imagining I was there I worry that I will not make it out of here alive I cry because of the torture I go through I am clueless and brave I understand that this is really happening I say the Nazis are just bringing us here for a little while I dream I will be free some day I try to accomplish everything that I need to do in order to stay alive I hope my mom is still alive I am clueless and brave Rest In Peace Chaim Swinik Haley Howard Grade 6, Worley Elementary School
