How Sweet it is! Desk I am a smooth gray desk My top is creamy like glass Over and over junk is shoved in my the corners of my mouth I eat books, pencils, markers, and crayons Never to be found again In June I get cleaned out My mouth is washed with soap The lights go out, Summer begins I am fresh and clean For the next school year. Kyle Levengood Grade 5, St. Peter School

Ball I am a red, bouncy ball As round as the sun I have a pattern of small ridges I feel smooth but rough I smell like a car’s rubber tire I bounce so high, so high in the sky, 5 ft. high! It’s painful to get punctured So keep me away from nails. I can roll, but I like to bounce more So please don’t kick me! I have lots of relatives But I’m the most thought of when it comes to a ball I, the Red, bouncy, ball Jeffery Kinnison

The Moowconsis

Grade 5, St. Peter School

Color Me Blue Wide enormous sky Laying on the ground Looking up Our hard blue chairs Heavy, cold, difficult to Lift Blueberries sweet in smoothies Sour when you first bite down Smooth when going down my Throat Light blue paint Messy when it gets on skin But so pretty to look at Shannon Klemens Grade 5, St. Peter School

The Moowconsis is round but likes to run. The Moowconsis is fat but does not agree. It likes to call itself round but not fat, it does not like the word fat. The Moowconsis flies, but does not have wings and it lives on the moon. The Moowconsis is a boss when you want to play. It likes for every thing to go its way. The Moowconsis sleeps during the day that means it is nocturnal. I never seen a Moowconsis. Have you seen a Moowconsis? Phoebe Swegheimer Grade 5, Homeschool

I Like Orange Orange doesn’t rhyme with anything, but I like it on everything. I like to eat it, I like to wear it. Do you like orange too? I know I do! Jonah Weinland Grade 4, Homeschool

Winter Winter is so fun, though there is no sun, that is what the children say, as they run and laugh and play, through snow so white, then they go to bed at night. Josiah Crock Grade 4, Homeschool
