program bursting with musical talent and artistic expression. And Production Coordinator, Jamie Inglis ’91, has once again done an incredible job of pulling it all together. The stars of the show, the talented boys of St. Andrew’s College, have spent countless hours practicing and rehearsing in preparation for tonight’s performance.

Dear Andreans, It is my great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to our third annual Andrean Christmas at Roy Thomson Hall. With a snowstorm delaying last year’s concert until January, this is actually the second time we have staged An Andrean Christmas this calendar year! Nonetheless, excitement for this special evening could not be higher. The enthusiastic response of the Andrean community to gathering in this theatre to celebrate the festive season has been overwhelming. I want to extend a sincere thank you to the St. Andrew’s College Board of Governors for their support, as well as those who placed advertisements in this program. Our appreciation goes to the Greenpark Group for their sponsorship of this program.

Now sit back and prepare to sing, clap along, and delight in this magical evening. From the opening musical pieces to the Old Boys singing on stage and the finale when all our voices meld, you are sure to be filled with Andrean pride and the spirit of the season. Enjoy the show, and here’s wishing you and your family all the very best this holiday!

Kevin R. McHenry Headmaster P.S. Please join us for a post-concert reception at the nearby InterContinental Toronto Centre.

Once again, Directors Sandi Chasson, Head of Music, and William Scoular, Head of Drama, have joined forces to create a spectacular

College

Thank you my friend, my family. No greater gift has been giv’n to me. Soon end our days – playful and free. Tomorrow, sail our ships upon uncharted sea.

Soloist Piano: David Kyle

No crashing wave, or stormy night, Can stop our journey from reaching daylight. But when the world’s dark skies cloud o’er your mind, Look around you, I’m sailing right behind. And there’ll be times when troubles seem to reign. So lost alone, and hope is drowned in endless pain. But when your arms reach out to me, we’ll see it through. That’s the time our brotherhood shall rise again.

Here we take a stand, Brotherhood of Man, be all you can. Always lend a hand, Brotherhood of Man, that’s what I am!

Cold winters come, warm mem’ries go, Some friendships fall down, like flakes of snow. As hearts grow weak, ours will be strong, Together we have built a home where all belong.

But when your arms reach up to me, we’ll see it through. That’s the time our brotherhood shall rise again.

Yes, there’ll be times when troubles seem to reign. So lost alone, and hope is drowned in endless pain. But when your arms reach up to me, we’ll see it through.

For whenever one of you may walk alone, Just recall the fam’ly friendships of this home, And believe our brotherhood of love for man, shall rise again!

Here we take a stand, Brotherhood of Man, be all you can. Always lend a hand, Brotherhood of Man, that’s what I am! Over sea and land, Brotherhood of Man, we’re hand in hand.

North, south, east and west, Gangwa’s better than all the rest. Mind, body, heart, and soul … woh, woh, woh! Brotherhood of Man!

Wassail, wassail all over the town! Our toast it is white, and our ale it is brown, Our bowl it is made of the white maple tree; With the wassailing bowl we’ll drink to thee.

So here is to Cherry and to his right cheek Pray God send our master a good piece of beef, A good piece of beef that may we all see; With the wassailing bowl we’ll drink to thee.

And here is to Dobbin and to his right eye, Pray God send our master a good Christmas pie, A good Christmas pie that may we all see; With the wassailing bowl we’ll drink to thee.

So here is to broad May and to her broad horn, May God send our master a good crop of corn, A good crop of corn that may we all see; With the wassailing bowl we’ll drink to thee.

Then here’s to the maid in the lily white smock, Who tripped to the door and slipped back the lock! Who tripped to the door and pulled back the pin, For to let these jolly wassailers in. For to let these jolly wassailers in.

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now, I see.
