Oktoberfest A fall weekend of fun and relaxation highlighted by live music, bonfires and lots (and we mean lots!) of paint. Color Wars Lancers sling paint at each other during fall’s Oktoberfest. Spring Weekend Taylor Swift, Dierks Bentley and Fetty Wap have performed at this event. The G.A.M.E. While proudly donning their Longwood scarves, students march through Farmville, spreading the Lancer spirit along the way. Late-night Breakfast A meal among Lancers to help lower stress during exams. Oozeball Prepare to get really dirty in this mud-soaked game of volleyball. Secret Societies Working in secrecy, CHI, Cahoots and Princeps promote Lancer spirit throughout campus.

TWO-COLLEGE TOWN With Hampden-Sydney College (founded in 1775) also in the area, Farmville was the first town in the nation with two colleges, making for a youthful and vibrant place to live and learn.
