En esa época creó y vendió una colección de sweaters hechos a mano. / While still a student at Parsons, Marc Jacobs earned a number of awards, eventually being named Fashion Student of the Year in 1984. He’s none other than the designer of the daring, ivory-colored dress unforgettably worn by Marilyn Monroe over a subway grating in The Seven-Year Itch. As one of the signature garments of this legendary sex symbol, the iconic dress became a highly coveted object, fetching US$4.6 million dollars at a 2011 auction. While the origins of the “little black dress” can be traced back to Coco Chanel, the most famous and trendsetting example was designed by Hubert de Givenchy for Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. And we couldn’t forget the seductive color red, a hue that makes any woman a head-turner. No one knows this as well as Marilyn Vance, who designed the striking red dress worn by Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.

Hoy la reconocida marca de ropa AY Not Dead luce en sus vitrinas una colección de poleras con sus dibujos y el logo by Preizler. / When 21-year-old Argentinean model Naomi Preizler came to New York three years ago, she had already spent two years in the big leagues of international fashion. But during her time out of limelight, her talent as an artist emerged… in her sketchbooks! Several international fashion houses and magazines asked her to contribute her illustrations, and today, the clothing brand AY Not Dead features a collections of t-shirts emblazoned with her drawings and the “by Preizler” logo.
