FROM THE DEAN Dear Future Student, I am glad you are considering Southeastern Seminary for future training. As you seek a seminary, look for an institution with an uncompromised foundation on the Word, an undeniable passion for the Great Commission, a clear connection to the local church and a team of highly gifted faculty members. Moreover, seek a seminary that offers cutting-edge delivery systems like online learning. Southeastern meets all of these expectations and much more. Here is my goal as Dean of Graduate Studies at Southeastern: to raise up men and women willing to drive back the darkness by taking the gospel to North America and the nations. I want to know that graduates of this institution make Hell shake as they march forward for God’s glory. This spiritual battle is a real one, and we want to walk beside you in this Great Commission task. At the same time, our responsibility is to assist local churches in equipping the Body of Christ to wear the full armor of God. In fact, we cannot – and must not – do our work apart from the local church. It is the church that will send you out and support you wherever God may call you in the world. Thus, we expect you to love the local church, serve a local body and help lead congregations that truly make a dent in the darkness around the globe.
