M.A. (Philosophy of Religion) The purpose of the Master of Arts (Philosophy of Religion) is to prepare persons for entrance in a seminary based PhD program for the purpose of teaching within an academic setting or working within church ministries designed to have an effective voice in the public square. It is also a preparatory degree for those who wish to do work in philosophical theology or in cultural missions.

Admissions Requirements Students applying to this program must have a BA in Religious Studies with at least a 3.0 GPA, one year of Latin, French, Greek, Hebrew, or German and 9 semester hours in philosophy with three of those hours in an Introductory Philosophy course or an equivalent at the bachelors level or higher. Applicants must also participate in a personal interview with an approved area faculty as part of admissions process.
