HARMAN introduces JBL VTX A8 compact line array loudspeaker and B18 subwoofer Dual 8” loudspeaker and single 18” subwoofer extend VTX family of sound reinforcement systems with versatile, small-format components. The VTX A8 combines proprietary JBL transducers and latest-generation high-frequency waveguide acoustic design to provide unmatched performance, efficiency and 110 degrees of horizontal coverage. For VTX A8, next-generation transducers and physical design refinements were custom-engineered by JBL to integrate more drivers into a smaller, lighter cabinet for a compact footprint, while still maintaining high output and sonic consistency with the VTX A-Series family. The B18 shares the industrial design of the JBL’s VTX A-Series products and has the same width and suspension hardware as the VTX A8, allowing the two products to be used together in a variety of flown or ground-stacked configurations. Cavern Club chooses Soundcraft Vi3000 Liverpool’s famous Cavern Club has moved into the digital age by retiring its long-serving Soundcraft analogue desks on its two main stages in favour of a Vi3000 and Si Performer 2. The order for both consoles, along with Vi Stagebox, expanding the capacity to 64 mic/line inputs and 32 analogue line outputs, was placed with local dealers Adlib, with whom they have had a close relationship since the late ‘80s. more info > soundte.ch/cavern
Heavy-duty LCD display stands CrewCom firmware update from Gator Frameworks
Gator Frameworks has added two heavy-duty LED/LCD stand to its range of AV stand accessories. The Quadpod can safely hold screeens up to 65”, has adjustable legs for precision setup, and can be raised to a height of 180cm. A universal VESA mount is included for 100x100 to 640x400 hole patterns and allows for horizontal or vertical screen display.

HARMAN provides intelligent meeting room audio with BSS DCP-555 Conferencing Processor
The BSS DCP-555 Digital Conferencing Processor, announced earlier this year, is now shipping. Designed for web and audio conferencing in meeting spaces, conference rooms, boardrooms and classrooms, DCP-555 has a new template-based web interface which allows easy reconfiguration without requiring Audio Architect. The DCP-555 offers four bidirectional VoIP connections, providing support for up to four rooms of audio conferencing connectivity simultaneously without the need for separate IP phones in each room. Audio from multiple microphones can be output as a single, optimised signal over USB, making it perfect for web conferencing using the AMX Acendo Core or BYOD applications. With the inclusion of onboard VoIP connectivity, rooms can be equipped with audio conferencing without the need for a separate IP phone in the room. In addition to the four VoIP connections, DCP-555 offers a range of onboard I/O connection
options, with AES67, BLU link, USB and 16x8 analogue audio all built in. This provides easy compatibility with other HARMAN and third-party audio devices, with GPIO and relays available for simplified control. The DCP-555 also includes builtin microphone tunings and JBL speaker tuning presets, offering simple, IT-centric configuration. When using the DCP-555 along with AMX SVSI networked AV solutions, encoder syncing is available to ensure the audio and video signals are perfectly aligned for an optimal experience without any manual setup. These features allow integrators to easily design and configure rooms with minimal complexity.
DCP-555 training BSS has released a series online training courses, guiding users through the hardware features and web interface of the DCP-555. Soundcraft adds support for SHURE Axient® wireless
Soundcraft has added Wireless Mic Monitoring support for SHURE Axient digital receivers to its Vi series consoles. Wireless Mic Monitoring (WM2) capability makes it easy to check battery power, RF levels, plus the mute and clipping status of the attached wireless microphones on the channel strip that controls each mic.

AKG C636 WL1 capsule for DMS wireless systems
The feature is part of the v6.4.1 software update for Vi1000, 2000, 3000, 5000, 7000 and Vi 200/400/600 consoles. The update also includes a number of fixes and improvements.
