hitney Cloer is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach on the Oklahoma softball staff.

She joins the Sooners after two seasons as volunteer coach at her alma mater, Arkansas. Cloer’s primary responsibilities included working with Razorback catchers and assisting with hitting and infield play. A regular at catcher for Arkansas from 2006-09, Cloer started 215 games for the Razorbacks in her career, including every contest of her sophomore (63-of-63) and senior campaigns (56-of-56). She closed her career as an offensive focal point for Arkansas, batting .335 with 54 hits, 37 RBI and 10 home runs as a senior in 2009. Cloer joined the Razorbacks as an Oklahoma All-State catcher at Bishop McGuinness High School. She was a Little All-City selection as a senior. Her sophomore season, Cloer led the Fighting Irish to their first state tournament appearance in school history. She was a member of the Oklahoma Jitterbugs club team and was a Jim Thorpe Oklahoman Scholar Athlete recipient. A native of Edmond, Okla., Cloer graduated from the University of Arkansas in Dec. 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Science in kinesiology and has her Master’s degree in exercise science.

haron Carter is in her second season with the Oklahoma softball program as its director of operations.

She is responsible for the day-to-day operations off the field while serving as a liaison for athletic department staff and the Diamond Club.

Bell played collegiately at St. Gregory’s in Shawnee, Okla., becoming one of the best pitchers in NAIA history in the process. Bell finished her career as the NAIA record-holder in both career strikeouts and wins and set the singleseason strikeout record in each successive season of her career. In her four-year tenure at St. Gregory’s, she was a three-time NAIA All-American, three-time Easton All-American, four-time all-conference player, two-time all-region player, two-time Sooner Conference Pitcher of the Year, and three-time National All-Tournament Team. She married her husband, Jade, in June of 2013.
