Oklahoma won the first Big 12 Tournament Championship in 1997 with four straight wins to close out the tourney. OU defeated Texas Tech, 19-17, to win the inaugural championship.

The Sooners hold the record for most runs scored in a Big 12 Tournament game. OU defeated Oklahoma State, 21-6, in 2006 and held the previous high with 19 against Texas Tech in the 1997 title game.
