,IFE !FTER "ASKETBALL SOONER ALUMS EXCEL IN PROFESSIONAL FIELDS Many student-athletes make a four-year commitment to their chosen university, but those who choose the University of Oklahoma are making a lifetime commitment. Thousands of athletes have graced the Norman campus over the last 30 years, but one thing remains the same – they are always a Sooner. This couldn’t be more evident than in the women’s basketball program, which has produced many exceptional basketball players and even more outstanding women.

From day one it is a priority of OU head coach Sherri Coale to develop well-rounded individuals. Add in the nationally-recognized efforts of the OU academic counseling staff and the end result has been tremendous.Coale and her staff make it a priority that former Sooners remain connected to the women’s basketball program because, without them, OU wouldn’t be the strong and growing program it is today.

Debbie Clark (1975-76) Fifth grade teacher in Wynona, Okla.

Through joint efforts of Coale, OU’s development office and the alumni, Oklahoma hosts an alumni reunion every three years. This presents a unique opportunity for OU to give back to its alumni and for the alumni to give back to the school that sent them on their journey.

Miranda Stacy Burcham (1997-99) National Vice President and independent consultant with Arbonne International, a health and wellness company, and mother of three children.

Jennifer Cunningham (1999-01) Works in sports marketing in Nike’s Toronto office. Amy Dahl (former coach & administrator) Has worked as an administrative assistant at McGuire Bearing Company for 20 years, and has refereed volleyball for the past 27 years. Jackie Farley (1975) Retired from OU in the summer of 2005 and started W.I.S.E Women 4 Hire, a company that provides personal assistants and concierge services to businesses in the Norman/Oklahoma City area. Susan Gregg (1979) Gregg, the first OU women’s basketball player to graduate with an engineering degree, works in Houston at Enterprise Products Pipelines. Caton Hill (2000-04) Earned her M.D. from OU College of Medicine and serves in the U.S. Army at Fort Gordon Military Hospital in Augusta, Ga. Roxanne Long (1994, 1996-98) Head basketball coach at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas.

S Stacey Dales (1998-2002) (1998 2002)

Theresa Jantzen (2003) Development executive with NHL’s Vancouver Canucks.

After averaging 9.2 points, 2.7 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 150 career games, Dales retired from the WNBA in 2008. Today, she is one of the most recognizable faces in sports broadcasting. Dales was an in-studio host for women’s college basketball and as a sideline reporter for college football and men’s basketball on ESPN before taking a role with the NFL Network last summer.

Dionnah Jackson (2001-05) Has played professional basketball in Switzerland and Greece and is currently playing in Israel. She is also developing a camp, called Today’s Young Professional. Etta Maytubby (1993-96) Sales service representative for Cintas, the largest uniform supplier in North America. Sharee Mitchum (1992-95) Human Relations Director at Azteca Enterprises, Inc., in Dallas. Brenda Mullins (1977) Cardiologist in Oklahoma City.
