Christmas is just around the corner and, hopefully, within this catalogue you will find the perfect gift for everyone on your list. For example, our selection of gift boxes is new this year (p.4), as is our Made by the Army Family range of gifts (p.5); and signed books are available from authors such as Max Hastings and Levison Wood (pp.10-11).

By shopping with us, you are enabling the Army’s national charity to help people such as Sgt James Nugent and his daughter, Elsie (pictured on p.3), who was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy in the early months of her life.

We assisted with £12,000 funding towards an extension to their house, mobility equipment and a ramp, so Elsie has a safe and comfortable living space and the family can live together comfortably.

As we do not rely on government funding, our ability to help people like Elsie, spending £8.4m supporting 65,000 members of the Army family during the financial year 2021-22, is due entirely to our kind and generous supporters.

These continue to be difficult times for many; and we are especially grateful for your support throughout this period.

For the gardener in your life, our Gardener’s Gift Box is inspired by the work of Highground, a charity we help fund so it can provide horticultural therapy to injured serving personnel.

The brilliant work of the On Course Foundation inspired the creation of our Golfer’s Gift Box. We are proud to fund this charity, which aims to champion the recovery of wounded, injured and sick soldiers and veterans through nationwide golf events and employment in the golf industry.

Our Relax Gift Box evokes the important work of Revitalise, a charity we have funded for many years to enable respite breaks for disabled people and their carers.

MADE BY THE ARMY FAMILY

Supporting the Army family is at the heart of what we do, which is why we continue to support creators and makers within the Armed Forces community.

This year, we are delighted to team up with a new partner, The Manchester Wax Company. Founded in 2021, it is run by George, a Royal Engineers soldier, and Martha, a nursing assistant for the NHS. The couple started making candles during lockdown and now supply sustainable, eco-friendly products. They have created two wonderfully festive scented candles exclusively for our charity.

We have also expanded our work with our longstanding partners at Tactical Tea, Contact Coffee and our charity’s friend and beneficiary, Kirstie, to bring you new seasonal products in our Made by the Army Family range.

Your purchase helps us to support organisations such as Reading Force, which helps British Armed Forces families through shared reading and scrapbooking. Reading together sounds such a simple activity but it really can connect Forces families through times of uncertainty and stress. Reading Force provides books and practical shared reading tools such as online journals and book clubs for teenagers, and a wide range of printed materials.
